Thank You Jesus
God gave us a son,
not three or four, just one.
The son was born a regular birth,
just to help us here down on earth.
He grew up to be named Jesus,
never lies, cheats, or teases.
He was a man of perfect love,
for his noble Father up above.
He praised and spoke Gods word,
treated us like sheep in his precious herd.
Then one stormy, rainy day,
in a  garden, he was betrayed.
by a kiss on the cheek,
and then he started to weep.
He was condemned to death,
forced to take one last breath.
While he carried that cross,
over many people he looked across,
he saw many sinners,
and many winners,
of Gods love for them.
He saw many who would be condemned,
to life below in a fateful place,
where they would no longer see His face.
He then reached the top,
and the soldiers forced him to stop.
They nailed him through his hands,
and watched the blood drip to the sands.
He then died on the cross for all to see,
he died for us, he died for me.
Thank you God for all you've done,
Thank you for your only Son.
