What a Girl Wants
Starring Amanda Bynes, Collin Firth
Rating: PG

The word to describe this movie would be "cute." It wasn't great but it wasn't horrible. The plot was very predictable and there were no surprisingly funny moments. It starts out in New York City where an 18 year old girl lives with her mother. She leaves New York and goes to London to find her dad who abandoned her before she was born. There she finds out her father is a highly regarded and publicized government official. She ends up teaching him a few things and of course they all end up together in the end.

Rating: R

I really didn't think I would like this movie because it was about the army and it seemed like more of guy movie than anything. It started off kind of slow but after a while it got to be really interesting. There are a lot of twists and turns and it has a great surprise ending. It kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the movie and I would definately reccomend it.

Bringin' Down The House
Starring Queen Latifah, Steve Martin
Rating: PG-13
Movie:
Soundtrack:
Going into this movie, I thought it would be really stupid, but it actually turned out to very funny. It has a pretty self-explanatory plot where Steve Martin's character gets mixed up with an escaped convict who swears she's innocent. Since Martin's character is a lawyer, she keeps bugging him to help on her case. Reluctantly, he agrees, and Charlene ends up helping him get closer to his kids and to get his ex-wife back.

The Hours
Starring Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore
Rating: PG-13
Movie:
Soundtrack:
This movie follows the life of three women living in three different time periods. Their lives have one thing in common...the book, Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. This movie makes you think and it has a surprise ending. Not to mention, Nicole Kidman won an oscar for best actress in a leading role for her part in this film. If you don't like to think, this may not be the movie for you because it gets confusing at times, but it all comes together in the end.

The only good part about this movie, in my opinion was the music. The movie was boring, unrealistic, and very predictable. Of course there was some very good eye candy...Ben Affleck, Collin Farrel....

The Recruit
Starring Collin Farrell and Al Pacino
Rating: PG-13

I loved this movie and I don't even like action films. This is a movie about a man who is recruited to join the CIA. He trains with a CIA veteren played by Al Pacino who teaches him that things aren't always what they seem. If you like surprise endings, you'll love this movie!

Chicago

If you are a fan of musicals such as Moulin Rouge, then Chicago is the movie for you. It combines music with themes of a murder mystery, love story, and comedy. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll sing and dance. This was an overall great movie!
