MY POETRY these are some poems ive written over the past 2 years
Ashley there was a girl that i once knew who's hair was raven black her smile was like a blooming rose of many springtimes past her eyes were like two diamonds glowing in the dark often did i dream of her in the shadow of my heart
Upon the dusty road there stands the fornlorn figure of a man a battered hat upon his head eyes as grey and cold as lead a dirty beard sprouts from his face as grass grown in a tired place so he stands there all alone with yellowed memories of home the coolness of an autmn breeze and mnoonlight on the eastern sea so with a sigh he turns ahead towards enldess road and weary bed
Tessa Raven hair and beautiful smile walked the earth for a little while dreams and hopes and gleaming eyes as wind between the sighing pines cried the tears and held the fears how quickly passed the shining years lke a dove she flew away above the hills and waving hay the sun has set below the whispy clouds tears like raindrops fall upon the dusty ground be not sad over her short and happy life for rest and peace await above
upon the floor the young man stands with a lonely roveing eye looking for he knows not what as he asks the question why am i alone or am i not why cant i feel a thing? the people all around him swirl a desperate seething mob chatting about the mundane things the house there cars and job frustration seethes within his bones as he prepares to turn away darkness overtakes his vision and the world appears in gray shoulders slumping he opens up the door and looks in the room again as if he senses someone there some long forgotten friend when his eyes behold the deepest red hes ever seen before a doe eyed lass whos gentle smile strikes deep within his core out the door they quickly walk hes captured by her charms brother ill tell you this for sure had he not turned back so soon never would he have beheld again a sunlit afternoon the years they pass by quickly they are together still upon a distant oceanside and on a far off hill
im driving home the hours late the shadows softly grow, im reflecting on the time thats passed and how little that i know. the years went by so quickly with hardly a spared glance,my mind drifts back to all those friends who never had a chance, there was craig that rotund lad who always had a smart remark, and tessa though i never knew her well she lies ever near my heart. so i must continue on my journey full of tests. out in the dusty wasteland of the barren distant west
