| I am a big fan of the Beatles. Around 2001 I had every official video ever made of the group. That included every movie, most of the documentaries made on the group, and many other Beatle-related items on video. But there came a point when I got bored with official videos. I wanted more. So I went online and discovered this thing called tape trading. I dove right into it without thinking twice. I remember the excitement I had upon receiving my very first tape in the mail. It was a copy of the out-of-print Japanese release, "Beatles At Budokan" That would of course be the famous dark suits show from June 30, 1966. The quality of the tape was beautiful and the whole experience was so extraordinarily thrilling that I did it again, and kept doing it on a regular basis to this day. My original goal was to acquire every scrap of Beatles tape in existence. While that is still somewhat my goal today, I have expanded my collection to include such artists as Elvis Presley, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and many others. I have around 60 tapes right now, containing over 200 shows. On the following pages (i.e., the links to the left), I will list the content of each tape and a short review of each show. There are many delightful items in my collection that I'm sure every music fan will love to read about. Of course when I get new tapes I will add them to the current list. |
