| Dillon Kondor Instrument: Guitar Dillon (16) has been playing guitar for 7 years, and writing and producing his own music for 3. Before he even played guitar, he was a singer for Sugar Beats with Katie and Jesse. In addition to playing with Jesse, he now plays with drummer Alex Russek in a band named "Pip," as well as guitar for Sugar Beats. His favorite musical artists are Radiohead, Coldplay, and Wayne Shorter. Other than music, Dillon likes sleeping, eating, and girls Katie Spencer Instrument: Keyboards Katie, seventeen years old, has been singing since the age of five, and playing the piano since seven. Her voice has been heard on dozens of commercials including those for The Hess Truck, Campbell's Soup, Chips Ahoy, and Cover Girl. She performed with the Sugar Beats for five years, and can be heard on albums including Back To The Beat, How Sweet It Is, Wild Thing, Car Tunes, and A Sugar Beats Christmas. She is thrilled to be working with Jesse and Dillon again, and she is excited to work with new talents. In her spare time, she likes to horseback ride, snowboard, and hang out with her friends. Alex "Pip" Russek Instrument: Drums Alex has been playing the drums for over ten years. Now at age seventeen he has played with the bands Factory Green and PIP. In additions to playing music, Alex directs short films, one of which was shown on HBO. Some of Alex's favorite musical artists are: Abandoned Pools, Tom Waits, Miles Davis, and King Missile. Pete Chema Instrument: Bass Pete is a self-taught musician who started with open chords on his father's old acoustic guitar. He progressed to bass guitar after helping form the band Ten Feet Deep in his sophomore year. Today, he still plays and composes music with his successful rock quartet, which performs regularly at clubs and bars in New York City. In November of 2002, his band was chosen as one of the top 3 unsigned teenage bands by TEEN PEOPLE magazine and played at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom, opening that night for the acts including Avril Lavigne and Justin Timberlake. Peter also plays electric bass in his high school's Jazz Band. Playing with Jesse has been a fun, exciting experience: he is really looking forward to their upcoming show. He especially enjoys working with this talented group of young musicians, and playing new and fresh music. A high school senior, Pete enjoys exercise and sports, and likes kung fu, wrestling, pole-vaulting, and goalkeeping for the soccer team. Pete also likes Playstation 2, chatting online, and of course, listening to music. His favorite food is Buffalo wings, pizza, and Chinese. He spends his summers as a lifeguard at his town pool and dives. |
