| AXEM OVER FLAME: Well, let�s get going. AXEM INFERNO: Sounds like a plan. AXEM OVER FLAME: Wait�Does that mean that I had a good idea? AXEM BLUE: I think so. AXEM OVER FLAME: Weird. They all walked inside of the blade. It took off and headed northwest, towards the United States. Inferno was in one of the rooms by himself. AXEM INFERNO (thinking): Well�I would have expected a more complex plan from Takhisis. FLASHBACK: Over Flame was still unconscious from using Fyre Wave. Inferno had carried him back into Axem Blue�s blade. Blue hit some buttons on the blade�s controls. Three Ultra Shrooms came out of a tube in the wall. Inferno and Blue each ate one, and fed the other to the unconscious Axem. Over Flame opened his eyes and stood up. AXEM OVER FLAME: That was fun. Let�s go find someone else to battle. Inferno�s eyes rolled. Blue, like always, was right to the point. AXEM BLUE: Now that we are all healed, why do we not go and get some information if we can. AXEM INFERNO: Good idea. AXEM OVER FLAME: But I want to fight someone! AXEM BLUE: Patience is a virtue. The three of them walked to the wall and a door appeared and opened. It revealed a desert landscape, broken only by the ruins and military camp the blade was next to. They stepped out of the blade onto the hot sand. AXEM OVER FLAME: I thought there were more Toads left conscious. There was only about 15 Toads left walking around the camp. AXEM INFERNO: Whoa! You thought? Amazing! Over Flame scowled. AXEM BLUE: There was, but we KO�d some more on the way back to the blade. By the time they got to the edge of the tents, there was a yell from the center of the camp. It came from the largest tent. VOICE: Help! Whoever you are, help an old chap! AXEM BLUE: Is that who I think it is? AXEM INFERNO: It sure sounds like Kolorado. After all, he was here the last time I saw him. It doesn�t seem like him, though. AXEM OVER FLAME: What doesn�t? AXEM INFERNO: He would�ve run ASAP. AXEM BLUE: Then logically, they had no warning. The three of them ran to the tent. Over Flame and Blue both arrived a good deal before Inferno, as his speed was the lowest. By the time they reached the tent, they had KO�d another 5 or 6 Toads who were too slow to get out of the way in time. In the inside of the tent Kolorado was tied to a large post. There were burn marks all along his body. His shell was taken off and lying on a table. KOLORADO: Inferno! My good friend! It was you who took over from those dreadful Toads? Inferno rolled his eyes at the lie. NOTE: In the earlier episodes (1-4) Kolorado displayed a dislike for Inferno. AXEM OVER FLAME: We defeated those weaklings. As he said this he lit the ropes holding Kolorado down on fire. KOLORADO: You mean� Fi�Fi�he won�t come back? AXEM BLUE: Specify �he�. The ropes burned all the way through and fell off. Kolorado stumbled over to the table and grabbed his shell. He put it on. KOLORADO: He was named...Fi...Fi�Fi�Well, he was a�uh�a AXEM INFERNO: It�s not important. You don�t need to tell us Kolorado. KOLORADO: Thank you, old chum. AXEM INFERNO: However, you do need to tell us everything you know about their plans. Any scrap of info you overheard, anything at all. Kolorado rubbed his hands, where the ropes were too tight and had left some marks. KOLORADO: I�Well�I gave in to the torture. If I had just held out for another half an hour you guys would have showed up. AXEM BLUE: It is fine, Kolorado. We cannot expect you to withstand torture forever. You did well keeping it as long as you did. We should have come sooner. What information did they torture you to receive? KOLORADO: They wanted to know about good ol� Earth�s �King�. They seemed to think there should only be one ruler. When they realized there was several hundred, they wanted to know who were the most powerful. At a nod from Blue, they started walking back to his blade. KOLORADO: They will probably be most interested in the President of the United States, as I said he was the one with the most power. Once he is out of the way, they will go after they European nations� AXEM OVER FLAME: We should go to were the President is, so when they show up we can fight! AXEM BLUE: For once, your belligerent attitude seems to be correct. AXEM OVER FLAME (thinking): Belligerent? AXEM INFERNO: Over Flame, why don�t you go round up the remaining Toads. Over Flame grinned and a ball of liquid fire, an Oriki Blast, formed above his hands. He ran off in search of easy prey. AXEM INFERNO: Where�s the rest of the dig workers? Kolorado just shook his head, but Inferno understood. They reached the blade and went inside. Kolorado was healed from his torture. A few minutes later all the Toads that had come through the Arch were in the blade�s cargo bay. The blade itself was in Toad Town, where the prisoners were turned over to Princess Peach�s jail. After an hour or so of interrogating them, the Axems found out Takhisis�s plan: assassinate the world leaders and take their power. Kolorado said he would stay in Toad Town. He walked off in the direction of the RAAM building. PRESENT: Inferno was still in a room by himself when Blue�s voice came over the ship�s intercom. AXEM BLUE: Inferno, we will be arriving in about 30 seconds. You should come to the bridge now. Inferno walked through some corridors and arrived at the bridge. He saw Washington, D.C. through the screen. AXEM INFERNO: Why didn�t they try to stop us from entering their airspace? AXEM BLUE: Princess Peach told them we were coming. Even if they had tried, they could not have done anything. The blade jerked slightly, announcing that they had landed. They were in front of some large structure. It was tall and skinny. It was completely surrounded by grass. Inferno had said it was the Washington Monument. AXEM OVER FLAME: Can I burn that? End of Episode 16 |
