| Episode One |
| This story begins atop a giant castle. However, this is not just any castle. This is the castle that is inhabited by a being more powerful than any other throughout the land it surveys. This being is far too advanced to worry about trifles such as good and evil. It is beyond worries about power, although its power is all but limitless. This being is known to the common folk as Chakra. Today, Chakra surveys the land around it, as it does every day. However, today is different. Chakra feels it in the stone of his castle. Chakra feels the vibrations of the sound before the waves even hit its ear. VOICE: Today, Chakra, you will pay. Today, I will avenge my people. Prepare to die for all your treachery. Chakra slowly turns around to face the intruder. As Chakra knows, it is Axem Hasaki, a member of the Loenin Tribe. Axem Hasaki is the sole survivor of an attack from one of Chakra�s high-ranking generals during the Chakran Civil War. Chakra was not responsible for this attack, but Hasaki refuses to believe this. CHAKRA: Axem Hasaki� how good of you to visit me. Hasaki stares at Chakra with hate evident on his every feature. HASAKI: Death is too good for you. I will tear the skin from your bones and feed it to the wild dogs, and still you will not have suffered enough. CHAKRA: I confer with the essences of all things. What could you possibly do to harm me? Chakra slowly steps forward. Hasaki readies his axe in what he knows will be the hardest battle he has ever fought. HASAKI: Prepare to meet your judgment. However, Hasaki has barely said this when the space between the two figures erupts in a giant geyser of light. Countless beams of light form at the floor and shoot off in all directions. One of these beams directly strikes Hasaki in the head. The last thing Hasaki hears before he passes out is Chakra, laughing in its cruelty. ============================================================== Axem Strife stands in front of the counter at a Burgers-R-Us. STRIFE: How many calories? CLERK: I told you, the Surgeon General doesn�t allow us to tell. NOTE: Me, 1; Burger King, 0! STRIFE: Whatever. I just want to know if you have anything that won�t make me gain 50 pounds when I eat it. CLERK: No. NOTE: Me, 2; Burger King, 0! STRIFE: And why are the prices so high? CLERK: Crickets became extinct. NOTE: Me, 3; Burger King, 0! Strife shudders. STRIFE: I don�t think I�ll order� However, at that exact moment, a large beam of light bursts through the ceiling and hits Strife in his back. STRIFE: Ouchies! Axem Strife falls forward. The last thing he sees before unconsciousness is the floor rushing up to meet him. ========================================================== The same thing, basically, happens to a large number of creatures throughout the land, some humans, some Axems, even some other kinds of creatures. Each one loses consciousness when the light strikes. However, when each one wakes, he or she will never forget what that person sees. |
