| The Battle With Lavos |
| This is the final part of the game, where you fight Lavos to change the future of the world. Defeat him to stop the Apocalypse in 1999 A.D. |
| First of all, you should know there are many points in time where you can fight Lavos, but I'm not going to list them all. Also, I recommend a team of Crono, Frog and Ayla or Magus if you have him. If you battle Lavos at a different time than this one listed, you'll get a different ending. Anyway, you can either enter Lavos by using the bucket at the End of Time, going through the Black Omen Subquest (not listed) or flying to 1999 A.D. with the Epoch. Anyway, Lavos goes through three phases. Phase 1: The first phase is when you fight Lavos in the shelled form. You can do this when you do the Black Omen Subquest. Fight Lavos again and again until he starts breaking down. Everytime you defeat an attack mode of Lavos, he switches to a different boss. He imitates a series of bosses, which are pretty easy to kill. Just remember how you defeated the past monsters. Anyway, when you do kill it, you go through the shell and fall to a path with a Gate (goes to the End of Time) and a save point. Walk through the whole path (fairly long) and find another form of Lavos. Phase 2: This second form is a bit more annoying than the first. This form will knock down your status defenses and try to apply poison and confusion. First, knock out the hands by using strong magic (Crono's Luminare and Magus' Dark Matter work extremely well) then kill the main body by using Double or Triple Techs. Heal when necessary! Once you kill him with a barage of attacks, the machinery covering Lavos will break, revealing that Lavos is a Humanoid. He will immediately go into attack mode and create 2 minions. Phase 3: This is the last form thankfully. This form drops your status defense and puts on random status cruds. The attack to look out for is Grand Stone, which drops your HP by alot. Anyway, to kill this guy, kill the left orb first, which has about 1,500 HP. Then you have to work fast on killing the other parts before the left orb regenerates. Use strong magic to destroy the center part while knocking out the right when it drops it's "defenses." Most likely you'll have to fight the 3 parts again when they regenerate a couple of times, but when you finally kill the annoying right orb, the other parts will fall down too. You will see then see the ending, which I will not spoil. Finally, I am done with this frickin walkthrough. Hope you're all happy. *Yawn,* I'm tired, I need to get some sleep. G'Night!
