| I Surrender? |
| On the last episode: JKI and Axem Titanium fought fiercely for a ticket to the finals. Using impenetrable defenses and a critical hit, Titanium defeated JKI and will face either Cobalt or Snow in the finals. -------------------------------------------------- AUDIENCE: (Roars with applause) JAMEY: By the sound of that, I think you want your next victims! So let�s bring out our next- FAST: Axem Fast says, �Wait.� Everyone turns his or her attention to Axem Fast. FAST: Axem Fast sees it�s 1:00 A.M. Axem Fast says go and get rest and the tournament will restart at 0800 hours. JAMEY: You heard him people! Get out and come back tomorrow morning at 8! The audience gets up and leaves, taking nearly half an hour. Jamey spots our six fighters starting to leave too. JAMEY: Now where are you guys going? COBALT: People! JAMEY: Sorry, sorry� JKI: We�re going to find a hotel at this insane hour of the night. JAMEY: No need! Because you�re all competitors, you get free rooms at that hotel. Jamey points to a hotel with nearly 20 stories high. JAMEY: And she�s all yours since there�s a lack of competitors. MIDNIGHT BLUE: It�s no mansion, but I guess it has to do. -------------------------------------------------- The next morning while walking to the stadium� TITANIUM: (Sarcastically) Very funny, Strife. STRIFE: I swear! It wasn�t me! Someone ordered a 4 A.M. wake up call for every room in the hotel, and the main suspect is Strife. Snow grins. Snow is the one who ordered it, but disguised his voice as Strife. SNOW: Don�t lie to us! The clerk said the person who ordered it sounded like you! STRIFE: Well he must�ve heard wrong! JKI and Midnight Blue start their own conversation. MIDNIGHT BLUE: They�re all fools. Waking up early is good for you. JKI: Right. By the way, where�s Cobalt? MIDNIGHT BLUE: I think she said something about a gift shop. They continue walking towards the stadium. The second they get there, Jamey�s voice is heard on the intercom. JAMEY: Your attention, please! All contestants must report where we met yesterday. All of them except Cobalt make it to the front gates. JAMEY: Hey, where�s Cobalt? MIDNIGHT BLUE: Shopping. JAMEY: Well someone go get her! Her match starts in five minutes! They split up and search every gift shop in a mile radius, but can�t find her. JAMEY: Well�I guess we have to start anyway� -------------------------------------------------- Snow and Jamey report to the ring, still without Cobalt. SNOW: Jamey? Am I supposed to fight myself? JAMEY: I don�t know. We have to wait for President Fast�s decision. Fast stands up in the VIP seats. FAST: Axem Fast wants to know what�s going on. Axem Fast says if there is no battle in 5 minutes, the match will automatically go to Snow. PEACH: Uh-oh�Axem Cobalt is missing. MARIO: Mama Mia! Where can she be? PEACH: Knowing her, she�s in the plum tree near the coliseum entrance, reading Harry Potter. Mario looks from his seat where Peach directed and spots Cobalt sitting in the plum tree reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. MARIO: Mama Mia! You must be psychic, eh? PEACH: No, not really. No one can, though I wouldn�t be surprised if an Axem or Jr. Koopa was. MARIO: Mario go-a and fetch Cobalt. Peach nods and Mario runs off. -------------------------------------------------- Mario stops at the plum tree Cobalt is in. He climbs it and sits on a branch to see Cobalt reading Harry Potter. COBALT: (still reading) Yes? MARIO: You-a late for your match, no? COBALT: Hold on. Let me finish this Quidditch chapter. MARIO: NOW-A! Mario takes Cobalt�s book and throws it into the coliseum. COBALT: No! Harry! Cobalt dashes to the stadium. Mario holds up two fingers. MARIO: Here we go! Mario runs back to the VIP seats. -------------------------------------------------- Back at the arena� SNOW: I�m waiting� Snow gets hit in the head with Harry Potter. Snow loses 5 HP. AXEM SNOW: 595/600 SNOW: I guess that means Cobalt�s coming after all. Snow hits himself with an Ice Sphere to restore his HP. AXEM SNOW: 600/600 Cobalt runs in and snatches Jamey�s microphone. JAMEY: Hey! That�s mine� COBALT: (ignoring Jamey) Did a flying Harry Potter book hit anybody lately? SNOW: I was. Snow holds up Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. COBALT: Great! Now give it back! SNOW: Only after our fight. Cobalt thinks about this. When she�s done, she tosses the microphone back to Jamey. COBALT: Hurry up and start. Quidditch doesn�t wait. JAMEY: Fine, fine� Jamey raises his arms. JAMEY: Ready�FIGHT! -------------------------------------------------- The battle begins. AXEM COBALT: 710/710 AXEM SNOW: 600/600 Snow starts by throwing Snowballs. Cobalt dodges and dashes forward. Snow uses a Blizzard attack to stop her, but misses. Cobalt slashes Snow and he loses 40 HP. AXEM COBALT: 710/710 AXEM SNOW: 560/600 Cobalt jumps back and charges again. SNOW: (thinking) I wouldn�t do that if I were you. Snow uses a Wind Chill and blows Cobalt back. Cobalt loses 10 HP AXEM COBALT: 700/710 AXEM SNOW: 560/600 Cobalt, blown back from the Wind Chill, is now hanging off the side of the levitating platform. Snow runs up to step on her fingers. COBALT: Blue Mist! Cobalt hits Snow and is now paralyzed. She uses this time to climb back and slash Snow again. Snow loses 40 HP. AXEM COBALT: 700/710 AXEM SNOW: 520/600 SNOW: Pretty good, but I have on of my own. Snow�s eyes start to glow. He stares at Cobalt and she becomes frozen for 10 seconds. Snow uses this to power up and fire a Blizzard. Cobalt loses 200 HP. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 520/600 Snow�s eyes start to glow again to use another Freeze Frame. COBALT: Not again! (Thinking) Wait! I know how to block this! Cobalt runs up and holds the flat side of her axe (which she happened to polish the night before) in front of Snow�s face. Snow stares at his own reflection and is hit by his own Freeze Frame. Cobalt hits Snow with an Axe Tornado. Snow loses 120 HP. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 400/600 Cobalt sticks out both her arms and fires a Brain Drain. It manages to hit Snow and he is now confused. COBALT: (thinking) Yes! Now he�ll hit himself instead of me! Snow hits himself with a Blizzard attack. Because Snow absorbs ice attacks, he recovers 200 HP. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 600/600 Snow clears his mind and the effect of Brain Drain wears off. SNOW: Looks like your Brain Drain is faulty. COBALT: You�re faulty! Cobalt runs up and tackles Snow to the ground. Cobalt punches snow three times and kicks twice. Snow receives 60 damage total. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 540/600 Snow tries to kick Cobalt off, but she jumps off before taking damage. Cobalt uses a Blue Mist. SNOW: I stayed up all night to find out how to avoid this, and this is what I�ll do! Snow uses a Wind Chill, and the direction of the Blue Mist changes. Snow�s accuracy is a bit off, so instead of hitting it back to Cobalt, he hit it at the audience, including Jamey. SNOW: Sorry. COBALT: They�ll be okay in a minute or so. SNOW: We should wait. I don�t think fighting without a ref is legal. COBALT: Fine� -------------------------------------------------- Two minutes later� COBALT: Any minute now� -------------------------------------------------- 45 �Any minutes� later� SNOW: Ah, screw waiting! Snow lightly tosses a Snowball at Peach. Peach snaps out of her paralyzed state. PEACH: Oh, goodness! What happened? SNOW: We accidentally paralyzed the crowd. Peach uses her healing magic of Group Hug and everyone is cured. JAMEY: What happened? Cobalt explains what happened. JAMEY: Oh, I see. It�s ok, just don�t do it again. Resume battle! -------------------------------------------------- The battle continues. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 540/600 Snow throws many Snowballs. Cobalt dodges them and uses a Blue Mist. Snow is hit before he can Wind Chill and is once again paralyzed. Cobalt slashes Snow twice and he loses 80 HP. AXEM COBALT: 500/710 AXEM SNOW: 460/600 Snow tries a Blizzard attack. Cobalt dodges and tries a Brain Drain. Snow ducks and charges at Cobalt. Snow slashes Cobalt and she loses 50 HP. AXEM COBALT: 450/710 AXEM SNOW: 460/600 Cobalt and Snow start to clash axes for a while. Cobalt makes the first move and jumps back and uses a Blue Mist. Snow uses a Wind Chill to blow it back to Cobalt. Cobalt (and only Cobalt) is paralyzed. Snow throws four Snowballs at Cobalt. Cobalt loses 100 HP. AXEM COBALT: 350/710 AXEM SNOW: 460/600 Cobalt is cured of her Blue Mist. COBALT: (thinking) Not good. Both my special attacks can be used against me! Snow throws two Snowballs at Cobalt. Cobalt slashes them and charges at Snow. Snow uses a Wind Chill. Cobalt jumps high into the air and slashes Snow while falling back down. Snow loses 50 HP. AXEM COBALT: 350/710 AXEM SNOW: 410/600 -------------------------------------------------- Strife, JKI, Titanium, and Midnight Blue watch from the Contestant�s Building. STRIFE: I think I taught her that� NOTE: Strife used Jump Axe in his battle with her. -------------------------------------------------- Snow tries a Freeze Frame. Cobalt runs behind him to avoid it and uses an Axe Tornado. Snow fails to dodge and loses 80 HP. AXEM COBALT: 350/710 AXEM SNOW: 330/600 Snow uses a Wind Chill. Snow dodges and slash at Snow. Snow blocks and punches Cobalt. Cobalt blocks the punch with her fist, but when she does, her hand becomes icy cold. Cobalt lets go and rubs her hands together. COBALT: (Thinking) Duh! He�s Axem SNOW! Snow throws an ice javelin at Cobalt. Cobalt dodges and it flies into the Contestant�s Building. It hits JKI and he loses 200 HP. JKI: 500/700 SNOW: Sorry. Cobalt charges at Snow and slashes him twice. Snow loses 80 more HP. AXEM COBALT: 350/710 AXEM SNOW: 250/600 SNOW: Once again, I use SNOW SPRAY! The whole stadium is surrounded with a snowstorm again, and the prepared audience starts to put on heavy jackets. Cobalt loses 20 HP and Snow recovers 20 HP. AXEM COBALT: 330/710 AXEM SNOW: 270/600 COBALT: I know a way out of this. Cobalt covers the whole stadium with a Blue Mist. By doing this, the whole snowstorm is paralyzed. SNOW: Show off. Cobalt uses a Brain Drain on Snow. Snow becomes senseless. COBALT: (Thinking) It�s risky, but it�ll buy me some time. SNOW: (senselessly) Jamey? Snow looks at Jamey with a dumb look on his face. SNOW: (still senselessly) I�surrender� Jamey is shocked. JAMEY:�you heard the man! Snow surrenders and Cobalt advances to THE FINALS! The audience roars with applause. The last thing they want is to be covered with snow again. Snow stops out of Brain Drain. SNOW: Wait�what happened? Cobalt explains how he surrendered without knowing it. SNOW: Aw, man� Snow returns to the Contestant�s Building. JAMEY: We will now have a 15-minute break. We�d like our fighters in top shape for the finals. -------------------------------------------------- Somewhere else� An unknown figure watches the tournament on TV. ???: So Mario and Peach are there. And there�s even a battlefield. Perfect�I can also get back Strife� The figure gets up and flies in a strange aircraft to the stadium. -------------------------------------------------- Back at the Contestant�s Building� Cobalt eats a few Ultra Shrooms to restore her HP. COBALT: 710/710 JKI: Cobalt? Most people don�t eat before a fight. SNOW: Let her do what she wants. She skipped breakfast anyway. MIDNIGHT BLUE: By the way, what happened to that evil book? TITANIUM: Snow left it next to the arena. STRIFE: Don�t worry. I�ll get it. Strife goes to the arena and picks up Harry Potter. As soon as he does, he senses something and looks horrified. STRIFE: (Panicking) No! My senses are never wrong! I can feel it. My creator�he�s coming! And Bowser created Axem Strife... END OF EPISODE FIVE |
