| On Pleasant Path, there is a group of 3 blue "Candy Canes." If you watch carefully, one of them has eyes that follow you. Run around it and restoration hearts will pop out! When you are playing as Peach in Bowser's Castle, you will be able to pick up Badges, but she can't equip them. If you put them in the large treasure chest on the room on the right, closest to the staircase on the second floor, those Badges will be in the treasure chest at Mervulee's shop at Shooting Star Summit! In Dry Dry Outpost, behind the Toad House is a woman that claims to cast magical spells on you that help you, for a price. The more you pay her then, the more she'll help you. She will either increase Mario's attack/defense power in battle, make more coins appear after a battle, or double the amount of Star Points you win after a battle! In Flower Fields, it is rumored there is a legendary Crayzee Dayzee, which is extremely powerful. This legend is true! From the entrance of Flower Fields, take the bottom-right path. Go through the Yellow Gate and go across the spikes. Next to the tree there should be two Crayzee Dayzees. If one of them is sparkling, you've found it! Because of it's rarity, it will try running away from battle the second it is able to, missing your chance at 38+ Star Points! To avoid this, make sure you do the following in and out of battle: Have the Mega Smash Badge with the Ultra Hammer and have Bombette at Ultra-rank. Start out with a First Strike from Bombette. This will take you into battle. Next, have Mario use a Mega Smash. Lastly, have Bombette use her Bomb attack. The Amayzee Dayzee should be defeated, spraying out all it's Star Points. You can defeat the Amayzee Dayzee as many times as you want! (Another way to beat it is to use the Dizzy Attack Badge, then using your attacks to get two turns.) In Dry Dry Desert, go north from the area where Kolorado is/was. You'll find a couple of Bandits and an empty block. Hit the block 1 time for a Mushroom. Hit the block 10 times for a Super Shroom. Hit the block 100 times for an Ultra Shroom! Once you are at Level 27, ease your brain of random battles! Equip the Bump Attack and Chill Out Badges. If you run into an enemy (even if it's doing a First Strike on you), you will destroy it without going through battle! There are some exceptions though. If you get hit by something that is thrown (Hammers, Magic Spells, etc.) or touch a Dry Bones or Amayzee Dayzee, you will still go in battle. In Shiver City, after you defeat the Crystal King, rest in the Inn. If you're lucky enough you'll wake up and see 4 Mushrooms and an Ultra Shroom! In the Shy Guy's Toy Box, left of Blue Station is a Black Shy Guy named Anti-Guy. He is extremely powerful is guarding a chest with a strong Badge in it. If you want to avoid battle with this tough opponent, go to Tayce T.'s House and cook together Cake Mix and a Lemon. This should make Lemon Candy. Have the Lemon Candy in your inventory and talk to Anti-Guy. He will notice you have Lemon Candy. If you give it to him, he will go away and let you have the Badge! In Koopa Bros. Fortress and Mt. Lava Lava, you will notice bars of fire that spin around in circles. If you stand in the path of the fire and jump over it enough time, the fire bar will then be destroyed and become 10 coins! In Dry Dry Desert, there are a series of twisters that are used to make you get lost. After thorough research, I've found that every twister in the desert sends you one scene north and one scene east. This way, it's impossible to get lost in the desert! During Chapter 5, go back to Gusty Gulch and talk to a Boo that needs help. He needs to know what would be the best thing to say to his girlfriend. Tell him the sappy line about the Fire Flower. Go back a few Chapters later and talk to him again. He should say that took your advice and now he and his girlfriend are getting married! After Chapter 2, keep doing favors for Koopa Koot until he says he wants an Autograph from Luigi. Now go to Boo's Mansion and get the Super Boots, but not Bow. Go back to Mario's House and Spin Jump the wooden panel near Mario and Luigi's beds. You will go through the floor and see Luigi writing in his secret diary! Luigi will then try to cover it up from Mario in case he didn't see it. Later on in the game, you can Spin Jump the wooden panel again and read what he writes in the diary. |
