Toad Town Dojo
Just above the Shroom Grocery in Toad Town is a fighting dojo to test your battle skills.  Though this is optional, I recommend that you come here;  If you can beat everyone here, you should be ready to face Bowser!  Beat the following warriors in succession.
Fighter #1:  Chan
HP:

Attacks: Shell Spin:  2
Defense: 2 (But flippable)

This guy's easy.  Start with anybody you'd like.  Begin with Mario using his jump attack.  Because Chan is a Buzzy Beetle, he should be flipped over with no defense, not to mention without an attack that turn.  Next, have your partner attack.  Chan will then spend his turn getting up.  Repeat from the beginning.  No problem, as I said before.

Fighter #2:  Lee
HP:

Attacks: Slam:  5  and Disguise:  0 (Changes into your party member)
Defense: 0

Lee is a Dupli-ghost, which means he knows the ability Disguise, which changes into your current party member, using your partner's basic attack.  I suggest you have him turn into a partner, for his Slam attack is powerful and hard to defend against.  I have him turn into Kooper so I can flip him.  With a few Power Jumps, this fight should take no more than 5 minutes.

Fighter #3: The Master
HP: 50
Attacks: Bop:  6
Defense: 0

This is where the action starts.  Before the battle, it's good to have the Zap Tap Badge from Merlow so whenever he touches you, he takes damage as well.  Bringing the Shrink Stomp Badge is good too.  Having Parakarry or Bombette as a partner is a strong start.  You may also want to have a one or two Maple Supers from Tayce T., a combination food of a Super Shroom and a Maple Syrup.

Start with Mario using Shrink Stomp.  If you're lucky, you can shrink him, reducing his attack power.  Next, use a Shell Shot/Bomb attack.  It's now his turn.  Try to use the action command.  When he touches you, he will receive 1 point of damage if you have the Zap Tap Badge.  Once he's shorter, unleash your flurry of attacks.  Heal with Maple Supers when you have to.  He should fall down eventually.

Fighter #4:  The Master (Round two)

Attacks: Judo Kick:  8
Defense: 0

Prepare the same way as you did for the first fight.  One thing though:  You may want to add a few more healing items, this will be a longer fight.  Also, you may want to have partners at Ultra-Rank and have the Ultra Hammer to strike with.

You'll notice he's gotten more...golden than the last fight.  Use the same fighting pattern as the first fight and you should be fine though, except for using Shrink Stomp:  Use the Star Spirit attack Chill Out instead..  You'll find yourself using more items than the last fight.  Remember, this is only round two of three.

Fighter #5:  The Master (Round three)

Attacks: Judo Kick:  10, Uppercut Combo:  7 + 6, and Triple Hit Combo:  5 + 6 + 7
Defense: 0

This is the fight to prepare for.  You should by now have most of your partners at Ultra-Rank, have the Ultra Hammer and Boots, find either the Mega Smash or Mega Jump Badges, and have Deluxe Feasts (Whacka's Bump + Strange Leaf) in your inventory.  Make sure to have Zap Tap equipped to stop the Master's combos.

You must've beaten him for the last time, because he starts the fight by going Super Saiyan (Cheap Dragon Ball Z joke), increasing his powers to the maximum.  Start the battle by using Muskular's Chill Out, reducing his attack power.  Fight using Bombs and Jumps, using your Deluxe Feasts when necessary.  When Chill Out stops, be sure to use it again.  When he tries to use a combo attack, he'll be stopped after his first punch, courtesy of Zap Tap.  After about 10 minutes, you should have mastered the Master.

What do you get from all this torture?  A Diploma?  What's the use of that!?  It gives you the ability to show it off to certain people.  One's near the entrance of Dry Dry Outpost.  Another's just outside the Dojo.  The last one's near the pipe entrance of Shiver City.  You also get the assurance that Bowser has a chance of falling before your feet.  It's also rumored you get an extra part to the ending too...
