Long Beach, fabulous city on the West Coast in California about 20 minutes drive away from downtown Los Angeles - one of the homes of Mr Jesse Bradford! What better place to spend my six months, than right under Jesse's feet!
So off I flew on the morning of January 21st 2007 for an awesome adventure that would see me trek through 12 states, discover fast food and max all my credit cards in search of my future husband... Jesse Bradford.
My quest started at LAX. Flying in to palm trees and stretch limo's, the sun shining and my suitcase at my feet I hailed a taxi the 'New York' way with my travel companion, James and zipped down the freeway to what would be my new home - the fabulous, Mendez Street!
Little did I know that Jesse was infact, 3000 miles away already...
Jesse was in New York, the other side of the country. And here I was, in California, the home of hollywood, celebrities and In N Out Burger!
I settled into a pretty cosy routine of partying, sleeping and sunbathing with my fabulous, all-American housemates the lovely Nurse Jessica and Miss Lauren and concentrated on working my British accent to the best of my adventage - free drinks, free food and free dates! It wasn't very long in that my Jesse search began, in the hills of hollywood with a new found friend, Mr Alexx. A hollywood lifer Alexx was the coolest dude in hollywood, living right on hollywood/vine - dead centre of all the nitty-gritty.
Mr Alexx, along with Miss Aimee and Mr Mike helped me scour the 'Silverlake/Echo' club area of Los Angeles which is where Jesse is known to frequent, what with him living rather close. Unfortunately, even though we were out and about in hollywood, the night of the OSCARS which Jesse himself had flown in for, Jesse was not to be found.
So my search continued. Jesse flew back East to be with family and friends and to start filming for a new movie.
But the hunt was not over, oh no, I frequented the hollywood night life - celebrating Jesse's birthday in style at Hyde nightclub and attending gigs at the Viper Room and Whiskey-a-go-go - one of Jesses fave hollywood hang outs, traveling up the coast and through 3 different west coast states, dancing wtih strippers in Vegas and handing out in 'Williams-hicksville' Arizona.
My time on the West Coast was coming to an end, a sad end as I had not seen my husband-in-waiting, so I took the rash decison of flying east for a tour or New York and the surronding states in hope that I might bump into him at his own nightclub, in his 'home' city of New York, little did I know, Jesse was about to fly into California....
