Revving up with the boys from Speedway Junky.

Genre had the opportunity for a Speedway Junky group interview. Enthusiastic participants included Jesse Bradford who plays the title role, and Jordan Brower who plays his gay-for-pay friend Eric. This story of a young military brat on the Las Vegas road to becoming a race car driver also features Johnathan Taylor Thomas, Daryl Hannah, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen and Patsy Kensit.

Genre: Do either of you know any hustlers or women of the night?
Jordan: I know quite a few. (both laugh)
Jesse: Not who attually receive money for their evil deeds, no.
Genre:Jesse, what did you do to prep for your role of Johnny the Speedway Junky?
Jesse: I started learning about NASCAR. I'm a NASCAR fan at this point. I worked on a semi-southern drawl. And I had this cowboy thing going on for him - just you and the car. He has a cowboy vibe for me. I tried to remain naive.
Genre: Are you naive?
Jesse: sure! Absolutely. I think it would be naive of me to say I'm not.
Genre: Jordan what did you do to prep for your role of gay-for-pay Eric?
Jordan:To be honest with you I didn't really prep.
Jesse:He has sex with lots of guys. (both laugh)
Jordan: I just read the script and followed what the director said. My character was gay but you didn't really see that in him. Just did it.
Genre: Jordan, any qualms on playing gay?
Jordan: No, I don't mind playing a role like that.
Genre:What did you think of when you kissed Jesse?
Jordan: I didn't kiss Jesse.
Genre:You were going to.
Jordan:Well, I was close, I didn't mind at all you know. He's attractive.
Jesse: I wouldn't have minded it.
Jordan: I probably wouldn't want to kiss a guy in a movie if i had to 'cause all my buddies would....you know.
Jesse:I would't look forward to it but....I don't care, why not? If I ever played gay, I would want to play like flaming - absolutely, positively flaming. Like comedic flaming and I haven't gotten that opportunity yet.
Jordan: I guess if they paid me a lot of money. (both laugh)
