“Okay, we’re supposed to be in New York next. They have an interview the next three days, starting with Good Morning America and ending with Regis. We also have concerts at three different venues each of those nights.” Elisabeth said, looking over the schedule in her hand.

“Darn it!” Katie yelled in the bathroom.

“You okay?” Peyton called, as Isabella looked towards the bathroom door from her spot playing on one of the hotel beds.

“Yes.” Katie called. “Have I mentioned how much I hate being pregnant?”

“Not since we left the television studio earlier.” Denise said, closing the door behind her. “The guys are on their way here. And Kevin called a Jonas family meeting.”

“Well, someone still has to tell us what they found out at their doctor’s appointment.” Peyton added.

“Not until the family meeting.” Katie called as she stepped out of the bathroom.

“But you were supposed to hear the heartbeat.” Elisabeth said, a hint of sadness to her voice.

“Trust me; the baby is still doing fine.” Katie said, slowly lowering herself onto the bed with Isabella. The two year old looked up at Katie and smiled. “Hey Bumble Bee.” Katie said, placing a kiss on Isabella’s head.

“We’re coming in!” Joe yelled at the closed door.

“Go away!” The four women yelled as the door opened.

Kevin stepped in first, followed by Nick, Joe, Frankie and Paul. Isabella quickly climbed off the bed and went rushing over to the guys, attaching herself to Kevin’s leg. He tried to untangle her as he made his way over to the bed.

He took a seat on the bed and pulled Isabella into his lap. “So, what were you girls talking about that we couldn’t invade?” Kevin asked.

            “Katie’s doctor’s appointment.” Elisabeth said.

“You told them already?” Kevin asked, turning to look at Katie.

“No. I was keeping quiet because I figured that was why you called the family meeting.” Katie said.

“Oh, so they don’t know yet?” Kevin replied.

“Are you ever going to tell us? Or are you two going to work on this Abbot and Costello routine a little longer?” Peyton asked.

“Yeah, how’s my nephew doing?” Nick asked.

“First off, we don’t know it’s a boy, yet.” Kevin tossed in.

“We went in to see the doctor and she decided that we could try and listen for the baby’s heartbeat this month, once I was measured and everything. Well, she measured me, and I was measuring big. So, she decided to listen for the heartbeat to see if that would explain me being bigger.” Katie started.

“Imagine our surprise when the heartbeat sounded more like a music track than an actual heartbeat.” Kevin added.

“After that, she did an ultrasound. And well, we found out some interesting news.” Katie said, reaching over to the nightstand and grabbing something off of it. She then produced to hold up two grey pictures.

“Garbo isn’t in the room with us, Katie. Showing us a picture of peanuts isn’t going to be as eventful as you expect.” Elisabeth pointed out.

“It’s not a picture of a peanut.” Katie replied. “It’s our ultrasound pictures of the babies.”

The room was silent for a few minutes as Katie’s sentence sank in. “Wait, roll that by us again.” Paul said.

“You said babies.” Denise pointed out.

            “I said babies.” Katie replied.

“You’re having more than one?” Nick asked.

“Twins to be specific.” Kevin answered.

“Awesome!” Joe spoke up, as everyone turned to him. “This means Nick and I don’t have to share babies to hold this time. He gets on twin and I get the other.”

“Twins, wow.” Peyton said, watching Katie show the picture to Denise.

“I know. But, she found two heartbeats and checked with the ultrasound to be sure.” Katie said.

            “No way. Twins?” Elisabeth asked.

“Yep.” Katie said, as Kevin gave her hand a squeeze. “In six months, I’m going to give birth to two babies.”
