Chapter 34

“My little sister Morgan is married. I’m just blown away.” Allie said into the microphone as she stood up at the head table. “Just like she was blown away at mine.”
She looked over the crowd, seeing everyone there. There were so many friends and family there. Jules, Nate, flower girl Bethany and the newest Miller- Toby were seated at a table with Aaron.
“Love is a crazy ride. It comes out of nowhere but it is the most amazing feeling in the world. There are books, songs, and movies about it. People go to war in the name of it. People change their whole lives for it.” Allie said, smiling at Aaron.
She ran her hand over her dress, smoothing it out and wiping her sweaty palms off on it. “I’ve been married for about a year and I’ve learned so much. The amazing thing is I’m still learning things. And that’s what I’m passing on as a pearl of wisdom. Dearest Morgan, you will learn so much about love but understand that you won’t stop learning. Be prepared for ups and downs and be prepared to fall more and more in love than you ever though possible.” Allie said.
Everyone clapped as Allie sipped her ginger ale. “Congratulations Morgan.” Allie said.
The DJ started music while Allie went over to where Aaron and Jules were seated. She took the empty chair and let out a sigh of relief. “I hate speeches.” Allie said.
“Aunt Allie you look pretty!” Bethany said, as Toby clapped in appreciation.
“Thank you girlie.” Allie said, as she felt a small arm grab onto her.
She turned and saw the blond girl in Aaron’s lap. “Hey there Shiloh.” Allie said, as the ten month old smiled. “What’cha doing girl?” She asked.
“She’s been itching to take a spin on the dance floor.” Aaron said, helping Shiloh stand up. “But she’s been enjoying watching everyone else dance.”
“Well, it is a great slow song. Why don’t you take her on out there?” Allie said as Aaron nodded.
She watched her husband spin around the dance floor with their daughter. She watched Shiloh giggle and clap as she smiled at her dad.
Allie stood up and made her way out to the dance floor. “Mind if I cut in?” Allie asked.
“Actually, I’d love it if you’d join.” Aaron suggested.
Allie smiled as the three took a couple of turns while the song ended. Lily, one of Allie’s sisters made her way over to the couple. “Let me take Shy, because I want you two to dance with this song.” Lily said, carefully taking a hold of Shiloh.
Evan and Jaron’s “Crazy For This Girl” started as Allie and Aaron smiled. “May I have this dance?” He asked. Allie nodded as they started to dance.
“I haven’t heard this song in awhile.” Allie said.
“But it’s your gold winning song.” Aaron replied.
“I have other, better memories of that trip.” Allie replied.
    “I do too.” Aaron said.
“I like those memories.” Allie said.
The song ended and Avril Lavigne’s “I’m With You” started. Aaron pulled Allie close. “We danced to this song at your 21st birthday.” Aaron said.
“That feels like so long ago.” Allie replied.
“You listened to this song anytime we had a fight.” Aaron added.
“And when I told you that I was pregnant with Shiloh.” Allie said as she started the chorus.
“Allie Piersol, I love you.” Aaron said, causing Allie to smile.
“I love you too, Aaron Piersol.” Allie replied. “You mean more to me than any medal I have ever won.”
Aaron smiled. “Yeah, but we’ll always be the golden couple.”
Allie chuckled a little. “I guess so.”
She looked Aaron in the eyes, watching his blue eyes sparkle. “Aaron, our golden family is about to get a little bit bigger.”
Aaron looked at her, a little surprised. “You mean?” He asked.
    “Aaron, I’m pregnant again.”
