Chapter 11
Allie had been there to see Aaron off. Or she
at least was there to see him get on the plane. She had to rush back to the
gymnastics hall to continue training. Jules had been nice and let her watch
Aaron leave, but had informed her that the moment Aaron was on the plane, Allie
had better be on her way back to the hall for training.
So, Allie sat on the train, just thinking. She didn't stare
out the window like she normally did, she had done that enough this trip.
Instead, she daydreamed. She thought of what were the many possibilities of what
would happen when the swimmers returned from Spain. She thought over how long
she could stay at the aquatics center before she'd have to race up the hill for
her events.
And all of a sudden, that's when it hit her. She knew what
floor routine to do. She knew the perfect one that would work.
Allie quickly pulled her cell phone off her customary spot of
the waist of her jeans. And then, she quickly dialed Jules' cell phone.
When Jules answered, Allie quickly told her the news. "I have
a routine!"
"You do?" Jules asked.
"It just came to me out of nowhere." Allie said.
"Too bad you can't still do that interview." Jules said.
"Why not? If they're desperate for an interview, they'll do
it." Allie said.
"Goodness, is this the same Allie? You actually want to do an
interview?" Jules said.
"I'm in a much better mood now." Allie said.
"You must really like Aaron then. No one else has been able
to do that to you." Jules said. "But then, your father always likened you to a
wild horse.
"I was his free spirit." Allie said.
"I'll give these people a call and see what we can do." Jules
said.
"Jules, can you do me a big favor?" Allie asked.
"Sure." Jules replied.
"Can you see if they'll meet us in Mallorca, Spain?" Allie
asked.
She heard Jules chuckle a little, making Allie smile. "I'll
see what they can do." Jules said.
"Thanks Jules, I owe you one." Allie said.
