Chapter 14

Heather and Paul didn't stay much longer. Patience made some silly excuse for why she was going to stay around longer, mostly using the fact that it wasn't going to be much longer until everyone was going to be heading home so she was giving Heather and Paul some alone time.
"You do know that if you want to spend the night with Michael, you can come out and say it." Heather said, as Patience walked out with her and Paul to Paul's car.
Patience faked surprise. "What could you possibly mean?" She asked.
"Patty, I know you're at least dating Michael. And, seeing how attracted you are to him and how extremely well built he is, I'm wouldn't be surprised if you weren't doing other things than just dating him." Heather explained. "We've been rooming together for five months now, I've picked up on some tell tale signs."
    "Like what?" Patience asked.
"You think I'm going to give them up now?" Heather asked.
"It was worth a shot." Patience said, as Heather got into the passenger side of the car. The window rolled down and Heather looked at her friend.   "I'm happy for you, he's a good guy. And, I haven't see you this happy since we first met." Heather said.
"Same for you. Paul's amazing for you. Don't do anything I wouldn't do." Patience said.
"That doesn't leave much out." Heather replied, as the two laughed.
"Yeah, but it limits some illegal stuff out." Patience said.
Paul started pulling the car out of the driveway and Patience made her way back inside.
The lights were down low, soft 80's music was playing and humming was heard. Patience followed it and found Michael in the kitchen cleaning up a little. "So, Paul and Heather knew we were dating." She said, leaning up against the door frame.
"Really?" Michael asked, not looking up from where he was stuffing the pizza box by the trashcan.
"Yeah, apparently I had some tell tale sign that gave it away." Patience said, watching Michael move around and bend over. "So, you anxious to see what your sister got me?" She asked, watching Michael stand up quickly.
Michael turned and looked at her. He had a smile on his face and that look in his eyes. Patience had seen that look before, almost every time they kissed. That look held passion, excitement, fear of the unknown, hunger, so many feelings all in one look. And it made Patience melt.
He walked over to her and held out one of his hands. She took it in hers and he led her upstairs to his bedroom.
All the times she had been over to his house, and she had never been in his bedroom. She wasn't quite sure what to expect but never expected what she did see.
The room looked like every other bedroom. It had a queen sized bed with a nightstand by it. There was a desk on one wall, with a laptop on top of it. Next to it was a bookshelf along with a dresser.
Next to a closet and the walkway to the bathroom. Outside of the bathroom was his sink, separated by a half-wall along with some woodwork. Next to the sink was the actual bathroom, equipped with a tub, a separate shower and the standard toilet. The bathroom had no apparent theme in it, just towels, rugs, shower curtain and such. And somehow, that just made the bathroom seem much more real and normal.
"You not liking something?" Michael asked, moving over to the closet. He opened it up and started rummaging around in it.
"No, I just always had ideas of what your bedroom would look like. But, I don't think I ever expected something this simple." Patience said, moving over to where she sat on the bed. "I really like it. It's really you." She said, as he stopped rummaging and appeared with a box.
He crossed over to his bed and sat down next to Patience. "Before you open that, I have no clue what is in there, so if you hate it or anything like that, don't blame me." He said, as Patience started on the ribbon tied around the box.
Once the ribbon was off, she carefully opened the box, a little scared of what she might find in there. And, she never did expect what she did find.
Michael was trying not to laugh when the box was finally opened. Patience pulled out the nightie, surprise written on her face. He couldn't quite tell if it was a good surprised, a horrified surprise or what. "I don't think this is my type of pajamas." Patience said, a little hint of laughter in her voice. Michael took that as a good sign, a sign that she wasn't too embarrassed.
"I can send it back." He offered.
"No!" She quickly said, turning to look at him. "We may need it in the future." She said, laying the nightie down in her lap. She looked it over and thought it wasn't that bad.
Granted the underwear it came with wasn't much of underwear. But then, the outfit wasn't planned to stay on your body for every long. But, it was very nice looking, she actually liked it.
The skirt part of the nightie was sheer, and there was an appliqué of flowers on the right hip, right over the band of part of the "underwear". There was another appliqué of flowers a few inches below the left breast, which was made of a satin. The stain of the top was then trimmed with a lace, which dipped in between the cups for an inch or so. There was a slit on the sides, tided at the top with satin ribbons. Two straps were at the top, which merged into one.
Michael watched Patience. He saw the ends of her lips curl into a smile and watched her bounce up. "I'm gonna go put it on, so we can tell if we need to tell your sister we need a bigger size." She said, smiling at him and then turning to go to the bathroom.
Michael fell back on his bed, surprised at the way the evening was turning. He didn't mind it, but was totally surprised. But then, he always ended up surprised when it came to Patience. And he loved that about her. It made him love her more.
