Chapter 11

"Patience, why is there a package from my mom to you?" Michael asked, as he looked through his mail.
He walked out to the living room, where Patience sat working on some math homework. She looked up when he entered the room and saw the parcel he held up for her to see.
"I've been waiting for that!" Patience said, quickly getting up and spilling her books to the ground. She was up and going for the package before Michael knew what was going on.
So, to try and figure out why his mom was sending Patience's packages, he just held it about his head. And, due to Michael being over 6 feet, and Patience being barely over 5 feet, it would require jumping or hurting Michael to reach the package now.
"Michael, give me the package!" Patience said.
"You know, for someone who is named Patience, you don't seem to have much." Michael said with a laugh.
"You wanna have kids in the future Phelpsy?" Patience said, leaning up against him.
Michael knew what she was saying, but he wasn't about to let her win. "Tell me what's in the package, and I'll give it to you." He said.
"No! That's top secret information." Patience said, one of her hands holding onto his waist, not letting him squirm to far away from her.
"Then it looks like you don't get the package." Michael said, as he tried to squirm away. Patience kept the death grip on his hip, not letting him do his intentions successfully.
Michael took a few steps back, as Patience followed with him, still trying to get her package. And, then they managed to trip over something, both of them falling.
Michael hit the floor first, with Patience landing on top. Her grip was still on his waist, while he had placed a hand around her back when he started to fall.
They both just lay there, one of Patience's hands going up to Michael's shoulders, making sure he was okay. "You okay?" Michael asked, trying to see what was going on with her.
"Yeah, this guy I fell on broke my fall." She said, her hand running slowly down his chest.
Michael and Patience locked gazes for a second, one of those seconds that feels like forever. And then, slowly at first, their faces started moving closer. And then, their lips softly touched. Then, Patience's hand made it's way to behind his neck, bringing him closer to the kiss.
His hand dropped the package, pulling her up closer, bringing them closer to the kiss than anyone could have expected.
"Hey! What is going on here!" Paul said, as the two pulled away, looking at each other. And, once it realized in their brain what had happened, they quickly pulled away from each other.
Patience slid across the floor a little, until her back came up against the couch. Michael slowly sat up, looking at his friend.
"We were just doing homework." Michael said, watching Patience's breath start slowing down. Had she been breathing that hard?
Patience watched Michael try and dig their way out of the hole they seemed to be in. She also noticed the package sitting alone on the floor. Did she dare go for it? She really needed that package.
Patience got up and started walking towards the package, but in an instant, Michael had grabbed it, holding it close to his chest as he talked with Paul.
Patience sat back against the couch. She was going to have to try something else if she wanted to get that package.
