Chapter 2

So, what the whirlwind, huh? Paige Spencer mysteriously returns home, looking like she has put on weight. Jared Padalecki and Porshe Cole went public with their engagement. And, Paige went public to admit that she is having a baby.
Now, she won't admit it but based on how much shopping the soon to be Mrs. Padalecki has done, the baby is Jared's. So, Jared is set to marry Porshe but be the father of Paige's baby.
Also, rumors have also started circulating about why Porshe and Jared are engaged. Everyone knows that Porshe and Paige are enemies. So, there's rumors flying that it's revenge on Paige for letting him go, something evil Paige did in high school, or just the plain fact that Porshe now has something her enemy held so dearly.
One thing is for sure- as news breaks, I'll be here to tell you.- Scandalous.

"You Tom Brady-ed me!" Porshe yelled, throwing a vase at Jared. He quickly ducked out of the way, letting it hit against the wall.
"That was my mother's Waterford vase!" Jared yelled back. "Besides, I didn't know she was pregnant until the other night."
"Neither did Tom Brady." Porshe replied.
"If I remember correctly, I didn't even want to get engaged. We started dating even, because you kept asking." Jared shot back.
"There is no way in hell I am going to let Paige screw this up. We are meant to be together honey, and Paige coming back into town doesn't change that." Porshe replied, her tone quickly changing.
"She's pregnant Porshe, and it is because of me. She is carrying my child. That puts a whole new dimension of things." Jared said.
"What do you mean?" Porshe asked. Jared could just hear what Paige would have said at that moment- "Looks like the peroxide finally seeped into her head."
"I want to be there for my child." Jared replied. "But, I also don't know how much Paige will let me be there."
"She didn't even want to tell you that she was pregnant. What makes you think she'll want you even in the baby's life?" Porshe asked.
"She was about to tell me, before everyone else made her say it." Jared said.
"You still love her." Porshe replied. She watched Jared take a seat on the couch. He ran his hands through his hair and over his face.
"We have a party to get ready for honey." Jared said. "We can talk more about this later."
Porshe nodded and walked off towards the bedroom.
Jared staid sitting. He ran his hands over his face again. He needed a beer.
*******************************************************************************************************************
Paige sat, rather uncomfortably, at the bar. She had a virgin martini and it was killing her. Her dress was killing her, her heels were killing her and they weren't even that tall of heels. Plus, her stomach made it rather hard to sit comfortably.
She saw Jared walk into the room. Porshe was following behind her with a gaggle of her girlfriends. She was showing off her engagement rock and giggling.
"I'll have another one." She started, then changed her mind. "No, make it a red wine." Paige said.
    "Ma'am?" The bartender questioned.
"Give me the red wine or I'll let it slip in front of Mayor Perkins about the fifteen year old you gave a beer to." Paige replied, watching the bartender nod.
"Harassing the bartender?" Porshe asked. "White wine." She added, as the bartender nodded.
"Preparing for when you got here Porsha." Paige replied, smiling as Porshe reacted to being called by her real name. She took the red wine from the bartender.
"Should you really be drinking in your condition?" Porshe asked.
"Why not? You drink in yours." Paige replied, going to sip her drink, only to have it yanked away.
"Paige Spencer! I will not allow you to poison our child like that!" Jared said, setting the wine glass down on the other side of him.
"Don't provoke a pregnant lady Jared Padalecki or you may find yourself with stubs for arms." Paige replied.
"Yes, but I believe that it is wise to stop a pregnant lady from hurting her unborn child. And, I also believe that it is wise for the father to be that person." Jared replied.
"How do you even know it's yours?" Porshe spoke up, crossing her arms across her chest. She looked at Paige, almost as if she was daring her to admit Jared was wanting to play Daddy to someone else's baby. "We all know how friendly Paige Spencer gets, especially once she gets a few shots in her."
"Trust me Porshe, I have not doubt in my mind that it's Jared. See, when you go to find out your due date and all that, you find out the date of conception. And, if my memory serves me right, that day would be June 17th, which is the day before Jared and I broke up. That would be the day of marathon sex in my apartment and one particularly memorable moment in the bathtub." Paige said, watching Porshe squirm. "See, the big thing is, when I'm with a guy, I'm his forever. No matter how far apart, I'm not going to cheat on him. That's how I know this baby is Jared's." She said, sliding off her seat. "Now, as you brainiacs try to figure out what I just explained, I'm going to go get me some liquor." Paige added and then walked off.
Jared downed the glass of red wine. "You want a DNA test too?" He asked. "I told you it was mine but you wouldn't listen, would you? You're still caught up in this little high school game, but I don't want to be a part of it Porshe."
Jared then turned on his heel and walked off.

Jared found Paige sitting on a cabinet in the kitchen. She had a spatula and a mixing bowl and appeared to be eating the leftover chocolate frosting out of the bowl.
"So much for finding the alcohol." Jared said, as Paige looked up from her mixing bowl.
"Look, I didn't mean to make a scene out there with your fiancée. She asked, I told." Paige said.
"I think that chocolate frosting may have gone to your head. you just apologized for fighting with Porshe." Jared said, smiling. "Though, the baby may have wanted some sugar to help with the excitement." He said, leaning onto the counter next to her.
    "Babies." Paige replied.
    "What?" Jared asked.
    "I'm having twins." Paige explained.
"Don't you mean we're having twins?" Jared asked. He slid a finger through the bowl. He started to lift the finger towards his mouth but Paige quickly grabbed it and slowly sucked the frosting off.
Jared tensed a little when Paige first grabbed a hold and as she sucked the frosting off, he groaned. "You only want to do what's honorable. You don't have to dish me any pity." Paige replied, placing a soft kiss on Jared's finger.
"Maybe it's not pity. Maybe I care for them." Jared replied, moving to stand in front of Paige. She set the bowl next to her and looked him straight in the eye.
"Until a few days ago, you didn't even know they existed. You were too wrapped up in wedding plans." Paige replied, running a leg slowly up and down Jared's leg.
"But the big deal is that I want to help." Jared replied. He undid his tie and pulled his jacket off.
Paige's breath caught in her throat as she watched Jared's muscles flex as he pulled his jacket off. "Contractions?" Jared asked, worry coloring his face.
Paige swallowed hard. "No, just a reminder of the past." She said, Jared leaned closer, his hands on either side of her. His shaggy brown hair was falling into her face and his.
"Hopefully it was good past." Jared said, placing a kiss on Paige's shoulder. He kept placing kisses up and down her neck and along her jaw line.
"A very nice past. A nice past that I'd love a ride down memory lane on." Paige said, loving the feel of Jared nipping at her shoulder and gently placing kisses up her neck. She wrapped her legs around his waist, pulling him close and making him actually bite.
Jared pulled back as far as she'd allow. "I'm sorry." He said, running his thumb over the spot. She was going to have a mark.
"Don't be." Paige said, unbuckling the belt on his black dress pants. "I'll hide it."
Jared smiled, his hand traveling across her chest, down her belly, along the skirt of her dress. His hand slowly started trailing underneath it. "And I promise not to scream." She whispered in his ear.

"Honey, what happened to your tie?" Porshe asked, looking Jared over as they walked out to the limo after the party.
"It was suffocating me. I had to take it off." Jared replied, as Trista came running past.
"Where's the fire Foley?" Porshe called.
"I gotta go get a band-aid for Paige. She has this cut on her shoulder. She won't say what happened but it's a nasty bite." Trista replied.
