Chapter 1

Hello everyone out there! It’s your favorite witty writer, who is always here to tell you what news is really worthy.
Okay loyal readers, here’s a question for you. What happens when a former it girl returns home from a little under a year gone? Don’t feel bad for not knowing, I’m not sure either. But, we’ll have the chance to find out.
Sources say that Paige Spencer, daughter of the late Paget Spencer and Prudence Spencer Foley, arrived home. If you remember correctly, she disappeared about 11 months ago to work on her late father’s hotel business. She even had long time boy toy Jared Padalecki fly out about two months into her disappearance, just for him to return single.
So, how will she deal with best bud and step-sister Trista Foley’s engagement to long time boyfriend Zac Efron? Or her mother’s upcoming vow renewal to Tristan Foley, another hotel giant?
Or worse, how will she deal with Jared now dating enemy Porshe Cole?
One thing is for sure, things will defiantly be interesting…-Scandalous

“Paige, you have gotten huge.” Trista said as Paige set her luggage down on the couch of her family’s upscale mansion.
“Bodies tend to do that.” Paige replied.
“But how do you plan to hide it?” Trista asked, watching her step-sister plop down onto the couch.
“I’m almost done. Besides, the dress for Mom’s ceremony is big and billowy. I can easily hide.” Paige replied.
“Are you sure that Jared doesn’t know?” Trista asked.
“He doesn’t, and he doesn’t have to know. Trust me, it’s for the best.” Paige replied.
“So when he dances with you at the vow renewal ceremony, and he holds you close because Prudence makes him, you think he’s not going to realize that he can’t hold you as close as he had before?” Trista asked.
“That’s four months away. I’ll have slimmed down a lot by then. All my weight is in my stomach and my breasts. So, at the very least, I’ll just be rather busty.” Paige said.
“So, what are you going to do for tonight? Prudence and Dad invited the Padaleckis and Efrons over for dinner. This will be the first you’ve even seen Jared since he flew out to see you 9 months ago. And, it’s the first anyone will see you like this.” Trista said.
“I’ll hide. I know every secret passage in this house so I can sneak down to the kitchen and have Ilsa whip me up something. And then, I’ll sneak back.” Paige replied.
“You should just tell him. It would make life much easier.” Trista replied.
“If it all works out, he’ll never find out.” Paige replied.
“Paige, you have to tell him.” Trista said.
“You know how much of media frenzy there would be? It would be worse than when he and I broke up.”
“But you can’t keep something like this hidden. And especially not with as close as Prudence and Jared’s mother are.” Trista said, pacing in front of Paige. “You know Prudence is chomping at the bit to tell people your news.”
“Really? I figured she’d be hiding in shame.” Paige replied.
“What are you going to do next month then?” Trista said. “Or as the vow renewal ceremony gets closer and everyone’s hanging out around here? Or as Zac and I’s wedding comes closer? You know you can’t hide forever.” Trista said.
“Why not? I made one lousy mistake. And now, after all these months, I’m left dealing with the fallout. I’ve gotten pretty accustom to this and I don’t need Jared hopping in and passing out cigars. I don’t need anymore of a reminder.” Paige replied.
“Paige, Jared will always love you. You should know that. He always put up with you changing from dating to playing around.” Trista said, sitting down next to Paige. “He just has to realize that again. And, maybe this I show he does it.”
“Really?” Paige said, raising an eyebrow.
“Honey, I am your best friend and your step sister. I know more dirt than you can believe.” Trista said, quickly looking at her watch. “I gotta get going. Zac and I are taking Patricia and Patrick to the mall. Patricia wants to stop by that store where you build your own teddy bear.”
“Cute, I may have to make one.” Paige said, a hand jumping to her stomach.
“Maybe next time sis. We have a month till things will get crazy.” Trista said, standing up and helping Paige up. “You may want to start working on that slimming down now. You are heavy.”
“She ain’t heavy.” Paige said, rubbing her belly. “She’s my daughter.”

“So, Paige has returned home?” Sharon Padalecki said, as she, Jared, Mr. Gerald Padalecki and Jeff Padalecki joined the group that was forming in the formal living room.
Prudence Foley nodded. “She arrived by train this morning. It’s amazing to have her back. Her father’s hotel here has fallen apart with her gone starting some new thing somewhere else. She’s been excited to be back.” Prudence said.
“Excited is not quite the right word.” Trista whispered. Penelope Spencer elbowed her. “She was defiantly glowing with happiness.”
“Where is Paige.” Starla Efron asked.
“Guest room, working on something for a Prince Babaloo.” Patrick Spencer replied.
“I’ll be right back.” Jared whispered to his mother as he quickly slipped away from the group.

Paige sat on the queen size bed. She had stripped down to her bra and underwear and was wearing a silk robe. She had a notebook lying across her belly, along with a pillow. In what was left of her lap was a laptop. She was typing some things up and surfing internet sites on pregnancy.
There was a loud knock at the closed oak door, causing Paige to jump. She quickly switched from the internet sites to her word processor. “Come in.” She called, quickly rereading what she had typed before.
Jared stepped into the room, causing Paige to pull the robe tighter around her waist. “Prince Babaloo was an old excuse.” Jared said, closing the door behind him. “Could you not come up with something newer?”
    “What?” Paige asked.
“Our sex excuse. Anytime some boring party was thrown and you wanted me, you made the excuse about needing to work on something for Prince Babaloo. It was our little code.” Jared explained.
“And you think I used it because I want sex?” Paige asked, raising an eyebrow. She hugged the pillow closer to her body.
“Well, that’s kinda why I’m here. We can’t have sex.” Jared said.
“You out of condoms?” Paige asked.
“That’s not it. It’s just impossible.” Jared said.
“It just takes some finagling.” Paige replied. Paige replied.
“I’m not that kind of person.” Jared quickly shot back.
“Really? I didn’t know you were.” Paige said. “Besides, it’s probably advisable for me to wait.”
“You? Wait? You wanted it at the airport bathroom when I flew out to see you.” Jared replied, as he sat down on the edge of the bed.
Paige felt sweat forming on her forehead. “I just should wait a month.” She quickly said.
“A month? What is going on with you? You were never that dedicated to hotel openings to give up sex.” Jared asked.
“Trust me, you wouldn’t want to know.” Paige said. “You came in here to tell me something?” she asked.
“Oh yeah.” Jared replied. “I’m engaged.” He replied.
Paige felt tears sting the side of her eyes. She quickly wiped them away. “I can top that.” She whispered.
“Huh?” Jared asked. Paige said nothing. “But, I want you to know that you will always have a place in my heart. I mean, we were each others firsts. But, when we broke up, I was a mess. And then, I fell for Porshe.” Jared explained.
The door flew open to the guest room and Trista came flying in. “Jared’s engaged! You can’t tell….hey Jared.” Trista said, embarrassed to see Jared.
“Thanks for the news Trist.” Paige replied. “You’re engaged to Porshe Cole?” She asked.
“For about a month now.” Jared replied.
“Jared Tristan Padalecki!” Two voices, a male and female voice, yelled.
“Sienna Paget Blythe Spencer.” Another male voice yelled.
“What are they yelling about? And what did you best friend come running in here to tell you not to do?” Jared asked, as the door flew open again. Jared’s parents, the Efrons, Tristan Foley and Prudence filed in.
Paige slowly stood up from her side of the bed. The silk robe flowed over her belly, highlighting it’s size. “Everyone, I’m having a baby.” She said, a weak smile on her face.
