“I feel like a deleted scene from ‘Bring It On’“ Joey said, sitting down at the table.
“ 'One Tree Hill' did something like this too.” Miley said.
“And everyone is just going to audition for us?” Joey asked.
“That’s the plan at least.” Miley replied.
“We should make the guys audition.” Kelly said, sitting down at the table with Briahna.
“Oh, I plan to. I just figured I’d let the crowd die down before we embarrass them.” Miley added.
“So, how is this going to work?” Joey asked.
“They have some paperwork to fill out, which Lance and Chris are handing out. They will fill it out, line up for us, and come in one by one. They will perform for us and we will make notes and use those notes later to make a decision.” Miley explained.
    “They have paperwork?” Joey asked.
“Kelly helped me type it up.” Miley replied, sounding a little excited that they had thought up paperwork.
    “Paperwork?” Joey asked.
Miley nodded her head. “Next.” She called.

“You know, you two are starting to get a little annoying.” Kelly told Miley as the two sat in the Timberlake living room. They had all the audition paperwork in front of them, along with pages of notes. The two girls were trying to piece together a show with all the people who had auditioned and the different songs they wanted to use.
“What makes Justin and I annoying.” Miley asked.
“Besides the fact that you two are so lovey-dovey all the time? You guys are a textbook definition of a happy marriage. You hardly fight, you make dinner together, it’s too ‘One Tree Hill’ Naley for me.” Kelly explained.
“He wants to go away for a week for Christmas. He wants us to go to those cabins we went to for our senior trip. It’s at the base of the mountains, but it still feels so close to civilization. It’s the best of both worlds.” Miley said.
“See, that’s what I’m saying. You guys are going to finally get your cutesy honeymoon that you never got before because of finals. You’ll come back here and be even more in love.” Kelly replied.
“Christmas is still a good month away. Our plans could change by them.” Miley replied.
“I highly doubt it. He won’t let those plans change.“ Kelly replied.
Miley smiled a little, swallowing hard. In her heart, she knew Justin had been looking forward to the vacation even since he had thought it up. But somehow, Kelly mentioning that Justin wouldn’t let those plans change, it hit Miley hard. I scared her a little, in a way she hadn’t felt in a long time. In a way that she thought she had gotten over. And that feeling scared her even more.

***************************************************************************************************************
Miley looked around the cabin, rather surprised that it still looked the same. After five years, you’d figure that you’d remodel. Still, it did remind her of that one senior trip.
“I would have tried to get that exact cabin we staid in on that trip, but it was booked.’ Justin said, bringing in the last of the suitcases and closing the door behind him.
Miley remembered that cabin. It had been planned to be for the teachers. But, when they had ended up with a married couple in their senior class, they had to do something. Every other cabin bad been boy/boy or girl/girl parings, with no mixed couplings. Miley knew that the two of them sharing a cabin had ruffled some feathers, but no one knew exactly what to do. The school had never dealt with that before.
“This one’s fine.” Miley replied, continuing to look it over. She stopped and looked straight at Justin. “Justin, I have something to say.” She quickly said.
    “What’s wrong?” He asked.
    “I’m scared.” She replied.
“We’re not that close to the woods. Bears are not going to eat your pajamas. I’m not even sure where Chris and Joey even got that crazy idea.” Justin said, watching Miley sit down on the edge of the queen sized bed.
He watched her blue eyes water and Miley bite her lower lip. “Justin, I’m scared of getting close. I’m getting this funny feeling in my gut. And what really scares me is it’s what a felt a year ago, before I left.”
Justin sat down next to her. “I’m scared of where this talk is headed.” He said, looking at her.
“I don’t know how I can be so in love with you but at the same time, be so scared of being in love with you.” Miley replied. “I’m scared that this feeling is creeping in, and it keeps telling me that I can’t stay. That if I stay, I’m going to end up pushing you away. That I’m not cut out to be a farmer’s wife. And, that the decision to get married was just based on hormones.”
“Miles, love is scary. Love is messy, and it usually turns out to be complicated. You’d think it would be easy but if it was, it would end up not being worth it.” Justin said, biting his lip before he continued. “Since we’re being honest with each other, I’ve got something to admit.”
“Did you follow me and have actually started a glass blowing company?” Miley joked.
“I thought about following you. I honestly thought about dragging you back kicking and screaming. But, since your return, I’ve just been waiting for you to leave. I haven’t changed my routine in almost three years, so I just keep waiting for you to just bolt. “ Justin said. “I figure I couldn’t keep you the first time, what the hell can I do to keep you the second time.’
“I guess we’ve both been playing house and keeping each other at arms length.” Miley said.
“I don’t want you to leave me, but at the same time, we’ve both grown up since we first got married.” Justin said.
“But, maybe it’s possible to fix it all. I mean, we both love ach other so we could still make it work.” Miley started and then stopped. She could almost hear that song in her head. “We need to kiss the rain.” She whispered.
“What?” Justin asked, a little confused.
“We just need to kiss the rain, face what we’re scared of.” Miley said. “You told me when we were ten to not be scared of the storms because you could kiss the rain. We need to face the storms because of the small fact of the rain.”
“You remember me saying that?” Justin asked, surprised. They were ten. Miley was one of those people who sometimes couldn’t remember what she had for breakfast the day before.
“Yeah, that was why we loved that Billie Meyers song when my mom played it for us. It was just too fitting.” Miley replied.
“I just want you to know, Miley, that I always loved you. I just wanted you to figure out that you loved me too.” Justin replied.
“See, I knew it when I was ten. That moment with that storm coming closer, I knew it. I just was always scared to admit it.” Miley said.
“Miley, you always have my heart. Just let yourself accept that you are my world and you will always be. That my life is only complete when you’re here with me, and that I’ll be careful with your heart if you’ll just let me have it.” Justin said.
“J, I gave you my heart a long time ago. I just never wanted to admit it to myself. I tend to think with my head instead of with my heart too many times.” Miley said, smiling at Justin.
“I love you, Smiley Miley.” Justin said.
“I love you too JT.” Miley answered back.
