“Kelsi!” Miley yelled, rushing into the hallways of Sand Ridge High School. Kelsi turned and saw Miley nearly take out two football players, a cheerleader, and some senior as she rushed to catch up.
“You okay?” Kelsi asked.
Miley looked around before pulling Kelsi into an empty classroom. “I think I might be dating Kevin.” Miley quickly said.
Kelsi’s eyes grew to the size of saucers. “You might be dating Kevin? Kevin Jonas?” She asked, watching Miley nod. “Since when?”
“My birthday.” Miley said.
“That was almost five days ago.” Kelsi pointed out.
“Happy birthday by the way.” Miley said.
“Thank you.” Kelsi said. “So, what happened? I mean, you didn’t even make mention of this when you called me yesterday to sing happy birthday to me.”
“Well, after the food fight, which Tessa is not speaking to me but what a big loss there, Kevin came over and was all mad. And he said that he didn’t expect a friend to act like I had, to which I said that maybe I didn’t want to be just friends. I freaked out because I have no idea where that came from, so I told him to leave and he did. And I started to go back and finish up my Ramen and he grabbed me and kissed me and then left.” Miley said.
“Have you talked to him since then?” Kelsi asked.
“No.” Miley replied.
“Have you even seen him since then?” Kelsi asked, sitting on top of one of the desks in the classroom while Miley swayed from foot to foot.
“Little odd and end run ins. He was arriving at the grocery store when Dad and I were leaving it. He was at the Surf Shack when I walked by.” Miley said.
“Has he tried to say anything to you about it?” Kelsi asked.
“I don’t know. I turned off my cell phone and won’t take his calls.” Miley replied.
“Miley, you have to find out! I mean, what if he’s telling everyone you are a couple? And you’re telling everyone you aren’t? We have to go ask David!” Kelsi said, jumping off the desk.
“I am not asking David what Kevin said.” Miley said. “That’s just weird.
“How else do you suppose to find out?” Kelsi asked.
“How about asking your boyfriend? I mean, he is Kevin’s brother. Oh wait, we can even ask Kevin himself.” Miley suggested.
“Hey Kevin.” Kelsi said, making Miley jump like they were watching a scary movie. “That’s why we’re asking David or Joe.”
“That’s just weird.” Miley said, as they left the classroom.
