“That is just disgusting.” Kelsi Locke said, walking past Melinda Meade sitting on the couch. Melinda, or Miley as she was more commonly known, was eating tuna out of a foil pouch while watching some zombie flick on the television.
“It’s lemon pepper tuna.” Miley said, offering Kelsi some of the tuna.
“And you’re watching some zombie lick. You won’t be able to sleep at all tonight.” Kelsi explained.
“Yes I will!” Miley said, quickly changing the channel.
“Noah left, like an hour ago. Why are you still watching his movie?” Kelsi asked.
“I was eating.” Miley replied, pulling the guide up on the television.
“Is there even anything good on?” Kelsi asked, as they scanned through the television channels. “Put back on the zombie movie.” She said with an air of defeat in her voice.
“Tuna?” Miley offered, as Kelsi shook her head.

About five horror movies later, the whole house was dark. A rainstorm had moved in and the wind was howling outside. The two girls sat on the couch, watching yet another horror movie.
A tree kept scratching against the side of the house, causing the two to jump every once and awhile. “It’s just a tree, right?” Kelsi asked, looking at Miley.
“I think so. It’s probably the tree outside Noah’s room.” Miley replied.
There was a loud knock at the door, causing the two girls to jump and scream. Their eyes flew to the front door as they muted the movie and heard male laughter. “Kevin! Joseph!” Miley and Kelsi yelled.
“Let us in, it’s raining out here and the door’s locked.” Kevin Jonas called.
“And we have to save you from whatever is trying to apparently kill you.” Joe Jonas added with a hint of laughter.
Miley looked at Kelsi as she stood up and let the two boys into the house. “You guys are watching that?” Kevin asked, his eyebrows rising in surprise.
“Noah started it.” Kelsi said, as Miley sat back down n the couch next to her.
“And how long has Noah not been here?” Joe asked.
“Since dinnertime.” Miley answered. The two guys took a seat in the living room.
“And you guys decided to stay with the ‘I’m not going to sleep for the next seventeen years’ marathon for what reason?” Kevin asked.
“Are you two getting the furniture wet?” Miley asked, changing the subject.
“It’s not going to matter. You’ll make us stay here tonight to protect because you’re scared.” Joe replied.
“We are not scared.” Kelsi defended.
“You guys screamed when we knocked on the door.” Kevin shot back.
“Those weren’t screams. They were shouts of joy because the killer missed the one person left on the trip.” Miley said, pointing at the TV.
“Shouts of joy that seemed like screams?” Joe asked, as there was aloud clap of the remote and turning off the television.
“No we’ll never know if she makes it out alive or not!” Kelsi protested.
“Trust me, you’ll live and it will all be fine.” Kevin said, as Miley stuck her tongue out at him.
“Besides, you’re up to a month of no sleep. That means you’ll have no sleep for our joint birthday party, school starting, and the Back to School Dance.” Joe added.
“Two of those three things won’t be worth sleep anyways. The Back to School Dance always sucks.” Kelsi said.
“And our parents vetoed the bouncy castle this year.” Miley added.
“Only because you and Kevin were hardcore making out in the one last year.” Kelsi replied as Kevin and Miley acted shocked.
“We weren’t making out.” Kevin started.
“We were bouncing, I fell, and Kevin just happened to catch me.” Miley said. “With his lips.”
“Yeah, so to avoid any making out this year, they won’t get the bouncy castle.” Kelsi said.
“Great, Frankie’s going to be disappointed.” Joe said. “Way to go Kevin. Way to catch a falling girl with your lips.”
