Taylor always loved sitting in her office when everyone else had gone home. She could play her radio as loud as she wanted. She could actually breathe-all the pressures off for one night.

The soundtrack to ‘Rent’ played on her stereo. Her suit jacket she had worn for the good bye scene was off and lying across the arm of one chair. Her black ballet flats were sitting by the door. Her hair was down and all her make-up was washed off. She was in her comfy outfit of a white t-shirt and jeans.

“You are allowed to go home.” He said, stepping into her office.

“I just wanted to take some time to breathe.” Taylor replied. “I know this wasn’t how you wanted to spend your first week back.”

“Hey, I’m with you. I’ve gotten to see how you spend the time you aren’t with me.”

“You got to see where my gray hairs come from.” Taylor joked.

“Gray hair or not, I don’t mind.” He replied. “I think it’s been great in other ways.”

He watched Taylor shift in her chair, watching him. “I usually wouldn’t complain. But, this chair is sometimes a pain to clean.” Taylor joked.

He came over and took a seat on Taylor’s desk. “I happen to believe that you rather enjoyed it. And, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it again once I close your door.”

“Don’t bother.” Taylor replied, surprising him. “You and I are the only ones here this late at night.”

“I left my jacket in my office. I have to go grab it.” Jordan said, walking into the building.

“But we made it all the way through dinner without you needing your notepad.” Nick said, following her to the stairs.

“But that was before we met our waiter. That guy was a sketch in the making!” Jordan replied.

“Jordan, please, can we go and you can write the jokes later?” Nick pleaded.

Jordan quickly turned off the stairwell and onto their floor. She jogged down to their hallway of offices and quickly stopped. “That can’t be.” She said, walking quickly down the hallway and stopping near one.

“So, I think you were right.” She heard Taylor say, along with sounds of stuff being moved. “I defiantly do enjoy sex.”

“Taylor Kellerman, I can’t believe you.” Jordan said, turning on her heels and walking off without her jacket.

“You are positively sickening.” Taylor heard Jordan say, causing Taylor to turn away from her desk.

“Excuse me?” Taylor asked. She had just arrived for that morning. She hadn’t been in the office long enough to annoy anyone yet.

“I heard you last night.” Jordan said. “We had just had a couple of interviews where we said how we were staying pure until marriage.”

“I know.” Taylor replied, swallowing hard.

“If you weren’t planning on sticking with it, why did you even bother getting the ring?” Jordan asked, motioning to the silver ring on Taylor’s finger.

Taylor chuckled a little. “Because my ring was never meant to be a purity ring.” Taylor answered.

“Best friend say what?” Jordan asked, shock coming over her face. She couldn’t have heard what Taylor had said.

“I didn’t buy my ring for it to be a purity ring.” Taylor said.

“Taylor, we need you in George’s office!” A voice called over a loud speaker.

“If it wasn’t bought to be a purity ring, what did you buy it to be?” Jordan asked, watching Taylor walk to her doorway.

“It’s my wedding ring.” Taylor said, looking from her carpeted floor to her best friend. “I’ve been married since this summer.” She said and then quickly left.

Nick peeked his head into the office, seeing Jordan standing in shock. “You okay?” He asked.

            “Taylor’s married.” Jordan said.

            “To who?” Nick asked, surprised.

“I don’t know.” Jordan replied, looking at the pictures on Taylor’s wall. One caught her eye, of the five of them. It was right when Nick and she had started dating. Brynn was the one taking the picture. Jordan had her arms around Nick, who was placing a soft kiss on her cheek. Taylor had an arm around Kevin and Joe, but she was leaning closer to Joe. The three of them had smiles on their faces.    “That day we went shopping, Joe wasn’t at the hotel later, right?” Jordan asked.

“Yeah, he said he had something he had to do.” Nick replied. He watched Jordon look at the picture, studying it. “You think Taylor married Joe?”

“He wasn’t at the hotel later. And, he didn’t go out to dinner with us last night.” Jordan pointed out.

“Joe and Taylor?” Nick asked again.

“You never know.” Jordan replied, stepping away from Taylor’s office.
