Sent in by Chantal Ok, I slept at the airport on Saturday night cause I didn't know what time their flight arrived, since they were using their WWF plane. LONG NIGHT! I was just reading when I heard around 11am yesterday morning that their plane had landed! One ofthe guards was telling someone. I went to the door they were going to come out right away. Luckily there was a payphone right there, since I told Tamran I would call her when they did. So here I am talking to her, while all the wrestlers come in one by one. I said hi to all of them. The only one that seemed like he didn't want me to talk to him was Taker. I said said hi to Taker, X-Pac(said he was tired and looked like he didn't know where he was going), Rhyno, Test, Y2J, E&C(Edge smiled real big), Terri, Ivory(Real Nice Lady), Shaine Helms, Spike(big smile). The ones without coments just said hi, and that they were doing fine. This was all while I was on the phone with Tam. She was freaking on the other end. Now next to come out was Jeff. I dropped that phone sooo fast!! Matt and Amy were to follow, but I just needed to get to Jeff! lol. I said hi, how are you? and who I was. I gave him the scrapbook and told him it was from the Jeff Nero Hardy Fan Club online, and that it was filled with birthday wishes, poems, and pictures, from our members. He said: "Aw Thanks! That's so sweet!" He had a real big smile on his face. I asked him if he minded taking a picture with it, and he said no not at all. So he took a nice pic. Then said to me, "Why don't you take another one, just to make sure you have at least one, if the other doesn't come out". Now that was really thoughtful of him. He knew he was my first pic on the camera, that's why he said that. After that I took 2 pics with him. Now if my camera screwed it up, I'm going to SCREAM. So after that I asked him if he'd do me a huge favor. Told him that my best friend Tamran from Memphis was still waiting on the phone, and I was hoping he could just say hi. He said sure, no problem. I couldn't believe it! He could've just said, I'm sorry, but I'm in a hurry, and I would've understood, but he didn't. Anyway, he got there and he said "What do I say?", I said "Just say Hey Tamran!" He talked to her for a good 3 minutes. I was thinking at this moment: OMG, I can't believe this man is standing in front of me after all this time. And talking to Tamran at that! lol. I didn't even think of snapping a pic of it. After he hung up, I asked if it was possible to get Matt and Amy to sign my Extreme mag before they left, since he had already signed it. He's like "Sure, follow me!". Talk about a sweety! So here I am walking down the airport strip with Jeff. He was walking really fast!! I think he thought they were going to leave without him. Anyway, we got to the bus, and they were already inside so I couldn't get to see them. I told Jeff, well thanks for everything, and told him to have a great show. He smiled and said thanks! Bye. So then I go back to calling Tamran. She is freaking on the other end of the phone, and by this time, so am I! Not freaking like "OMG! I met Jeff Hardy!!" But freaking like "OMG, I didn't come here for nothing this time. It really happened!!" Then I told her everything. And I said, well at least he now has the scrapbook, so he'll have that to look at while he's driving the 30 mins to the arena. As I finished my sentence, I looked down at my stuff. OMG, I had somehow taken the scrapbook back! I don't know if he mistakenly gave it back to me, or I took it back because I just wasn't thinking, but I still had the scrapbook, and Jeff was gone! I was freaking after that! So I was thinking of just sending it express mail to his po box as soon as I got home. But I felt like such a dumbass!! So I had to catch a bus back in town too, to see the show. The next bus was only coming at 1:30 and the show started at 2:00, so I knew I was going to miss a few matches, but was hoping it wasn't Jeff's or Matt's. So I got there and Christian's match had finished. Then I heard the Hardyz music! Almost killed myself getting to my seat! I had really good seats, plus a zoom camera so I was set. It was Matt w/ Lita vs Hurricane Helms. Awesome pics of them! I took really good pics of everyone. Intermission starts and I decide I'm going to change my film before Jeff's match, so I could take a lot of pics. I thought his match was going to be next. Anyways, I go to wind the camera, and the damn wheel breaks, so I can't take anymore pics! OMG, I almost started crying. But I don't give up! I ran to the lobby, that was packed with people and I was just pushing my way through. Finally got to the booth where they sold disposable cameras, and they said they were all out. I started swearing up a storm, I was MAD!! So anyway, I hear the anouncer back in the ring, I was freaking!! He announced Edge vs Storm. I was like thank God! I hate to miss Edge, but I'm not missing Jeff! So I ran to the nearest cornerstore, which was not that close. Their cameras were $17.99 each. I took 2! I didn't care how much I had to pay, but I was going to get his match on camera! So I finally got back, sweaty as hell, and tired as hell...but I made it in time! The most awesome thing happened! Before his opponent showed up (Kanyon), he was just standing there, and he saw me. I mouthed to him, "I forgot to give it to you". And to my surprise, he nodded, and mouthed "I know"!! I almost died! I took amazing pics! Unfortunately it's labour day today, so I can't get them developed. Fast forward to after the show. I called the bus station to double check when my bus was leaving. The last bus until the morning had left 2 hours earlier. I was sooooo upset!! I didn't want to spend another day there, I didn't even know the city. I went outside to get some fresh air cause I was gonna pass out. I had already spent so much money. I called all the cheap hotels cause I figured I really needed a good night's sleep since I hadn't slept for 2 days. All the hotels were booked solid. So I started bawling my eyes out! Anyway, I called the airport bus to pic me up and he said it would be about 30 mins. Anyways, I got on it, and slept the whole way there. My shirt was dirty because I hadn't let Jeff's autograph dry, and it was all smudged on my shirt. No more makeup cause I cried it all off, but I didn't care, no one important was going to see me anyway. I just wanted to go to sleep! |
