Portfolio:
Panama Inspirations
I admit, I took a lot of these photos pretending I was a photographer for something like National Geographic... something I have done since I was a kid! Enjoy, these are some of my best shots.
| By far one of my favorites; this was taken on the road to Monjaras, the place I rode my horse to every day. There is a man walking with a Motete (native carrying basket, complete with shoulder straps), my friend Miguel. The internet doesn't do this one justice. Cerro Esquinado (Stair Mountain) is in the background. | |
| This was taken from my backyard in Panama... I have lots of great sunsets, but this was the most vivid of all. | |
| Here is Concho, y su perro (and his dog). He was one of my most precious friends. That dog followed him everywhere. They were slow moving, sweet and some of the boniest individuals I have ever met. | |
| This is the restaurant, Cafe Aqui me Queda (Here I'll Stay Cafe), at the bottom of the mountain on which I lived. I rode down the mountain to the little town, Calobre, twice a week to get my mail and chat with my friends there. | |
| There is a lot of erosion in Panama. That is why I was sent there. Here is a typical example, on the road down to Calobre. | |
| This picture was fun! These men were sitting in Cafe Aire Libre, in Santiago. I told them I was getting photos of culture and asked their permission... they were thrilled. The waitresses, a crabby bunch, were amused and even smiled. |
