Busy is my middle name, I think. This weekend I had a great time backpacking with a group of my friends. I was lucky and didn't have to hike 14 miles like the rest of the back packers. Cherry, Marci, Andy and I had to come late so we only had to hike about .5 miles. Long story short... we had fun. I only had one little accident crossing the creek at night slipping and seemingly breaking my pinky toe. But other than that, a brief rain shower, and a rather embarrassing moment for me nothing extremely remarkable happened.
Today my sister and I practiced our song for Leah's wedding. It actually went pretty good, in fact I think we sounded the best that we ever have singing together. I can't believe that there is less than a week til the wedding. I'm nervous and I'm not even the one getting married.
For being so busy I really don't have to much to say. I now have four jobs. So, perhaps I can start saving money again. I just realized, as I was filling out an application to get into a college, that I haven't ever taken my ACT's.For some goofy reason colleges require your ACT scores before you can be admitted. So I need to find out when the next test is and get studying. This scares me a little since I haven't been in high school for 7 years now. I'm practically a non-trad student (which is helpful grant wise).
I'm tired after seeing a movie with my cousin Jeff, Julia, Kris and Katie so I'm going to bed. I have once again put off preparing for my Bible study. Oh well, I know my material, anyhow.
I feel silly. Last night after work I met Leah to go tan. I had tanned two years ago for a wedding and remembered how nice it felt to lay on a warm bed. It was cold yesterday and I couldn't seem to stay warm so I thought it was a great idea. Two years ago I could tan for 20 minutes at a time and could hardly see a difference. So, I signed up for 15 min. Needless to say... I burned. But not just any burn ~~ no this one is different. I burned everywhere I missed with my lotion. It was weird to put it lightly... at least I'm warm now! I didn't notice how toasty I was until I got ready for bed. Anyway, I had a meeting right after I got done tanning. I started to feel sick during the meeting and actually thought I was going to pass out. I didn't realize that it was probably the same thing as sun stroke! How funny is that?
Bible study went okay. We didn't go into much detail since we didn't start until 8pm. I had 4 people come this week. Now if fundraising could go okay. Tonight I have a meeting to brainstorm ideas for fundraising events. Well, I need to go~~ See ya
I actually only have a few minutes to spare but I know that I won't have too many chances to update my journal. I'm so busy lately. In fact maybe too busy. But oh well. I have three jobs now. I think I can manage them just fine too. Crazy. But The lord has blessed me with them. I'm a little frustrated with Fundraising. Tomorrow I'm having a meeting and if no one shows up I'll be a little miffed. Perhaps I have the wrong attitude but I really don't have the time to do everything and IV needs funds. I don't think that people realize this. It will be a sorry lot of people come Chapter Camp time and they realize that there is no money available for scholarships. $300 is a lot to pay on your own. Tonight is my bible study. I hope that people show up for it as well. Thank you kris for coming last tuesday and encouraging me by being there. Some times our best laid plans never actually come to pass. Anyway, I need to go but soon (or maybe not so soon) I'll post all my new stuff.
Yea I figured out how to download Java! Well, I'm sitting here at home. Sick. I hate being sick and colds are the worst. I can't breathe, my throat hurts and I've got a massive headache. GRRRRR. I only hope that I'm better in a week or so because my sister and I have to sing at Leah's wedding. Man, just two weeks until my best friend gets married. Any of you girls out there want to get married? Just become my best friend. They have ALL gotten married! Jill, Amy Andrea, Chris, and now Leah. Not to mention my friends from college. Okay enough with the pity party already!
I made chocolate chip muffins this morning and boy are they good! I've never made this kind before. They deserve to be consumed with milk not hot tea but milk and colds don't mix too well. MMMMM... gotta love these muffins. Are you hungry yet? Funny I had a whole list of things to talk about but they all just flew out of my head. Oh well!
I actually have a saturday with very little going on. Okay thats not entirely true. I'm in the middle of doing laundry and I need to clean the kitchen, my room, prepare my bible study, prepare for some fundraising stuff, help my sister move into a new house on base, and still "rest" because I'm sick. I had full intentions of sleeping in this morning but it was not to be. After only 6 & a half hours of sleep I woke up then desperately tried to go back to sleep only to be awakened by the phone or my roommate leaving for work. I decided to get up. if I had my way I'd still be in bed now. So anyhow, I'm up. Not ready for the day but up. And the best part is... I'm alone! All of my roommates are not here.I don't know if I've ever been alone in this house for more than 15 minutes. Cool beans!
A friend mentioned to me that I haven't updated anything except for my jopurnal. Well, I'm going to work on that this weekend. I should have my first Bible study lesson up by Tuesday. I will also go though my pics and pick out a few to put on my site. Well Since I have sooooo much to do today I'd better be going. Take care!
