SUMMARY: Another part of the Lost Champions series.

It had been two weeks since they had left Wolfram and Hart. Harmony had finally gotten used to the blinding pain that came with the visions and every thing was going good. Wesley finally forgave Gunn for the Illyria thing and they were as thick as thieves again, just like in the old days. Angel and Spike hardly left their room except to eat and to deal with the latest visions and cases so the gang assumed that things were going well.

"Guys!" Angel yelled as he came barreling down the stairs. "Guys!" He yelled again.

"Angel what is it?" Wesley asked, walking out of the office breathing heavily.

"Spike's sick." Angel said franticly, a look of fear firmly set on his face.

"What?" Fred said in confusion as she too walked out of the office where her and Wesley were making out not a moment before. "Vampires can't get sick. Can they?" She asked turning to Wesley.

"I'm afraid not." Wesley said, a shocked look across his face. "We should go see." With that he and Fred quickly followed Angel as he darted up the steps and towards room 312.

When they entered the room they were met with an unpleasant sight. Torn clothing, empty tubes of lube, handcuffs and other such items littered the floor and nearly everything in the room was covered in blood or other bodily fluids.

"Good gods what have you two been doing in here?" Wesley asked in disgust.

Before Angel could defend his and Spike's living situation the heaving sounds that were coming from the bathroom interrupted them. "Spike." Angel breathed as he rushed into the bathroom. "Baby you okay?" He cooed to Spike who was bent over the toilet bowl.

"No." Spike said between heaves. "I'm not bloody okay. So why don't you just sod off?" He snapped.

"Wow." Angel said in shock. "Moody much?"

"Oh my God!"
Fred exclaimed as she and Wesley squeezed into the small room. "Your pregnant!"

"What?" Angel and Wesley shrieked as Spike continued to puke.

"Oh common!" She smiled. "The sickness, the moodiness that's not Spike's normal moodiness. Your pregnant."

Spike lifted his head away from the toilet and gave it one finial flush. "Sorry love but there two things wrong with your theory." He sighed shifting back into big bad mode, standing up and walking into the other room and sitting on a chair that wasn't covered in only God knows what. "One, I'm a vampire as in dead, not about to have kids. And two, I'm a bloody bloke! Last time I looked anyways and also last time I looked men can't have children!"

"Well last time I checked, vampires couldn't get sick either." Fred said defiantly crossing her arms in front of her chest. "And besides Darla had Connor didn't she? Granted she died, but lets not focus on the negative."

"Well Darla also lacked one very big thing that I happen to have if you know what I mean love." Spike snickered at his own joke then reached his hand down his pants to scratch himself. When he did so he immediately stopped snickering as a look of fear washed over him like a tidal wave. He jumped up like he was sitting on a spring and ran to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. There was a rustle of clothing then Spike screaming.

Angel rushed to the door and started to bang on it. "Spike, baby you okay?" He continued to pound on the door, so hard he almost knocked it down. When he was about to kick in the door the screaming stopped and then the distinct sound of a body hitting the tile floor. "Spike!" Angel shouted then stood back and gave the door a hearty kick and it swung open. Spike was lying on the floor, he looked dead but was merely unconscious. "Fred, Wes, stay back, he's not... decent." Angel said slamming the door shut behind him.

"Sure you don't need our help?" Fred called through the door.

"No, we'll come down later." Angel called back. "I'm the only one who can help. Just go back to work, please."

"Alright." Wesley sighed. "But if you need us just use the intercom I installed."

"Right. Don't forget to shut the door on your way out." Angel said quickly.

When he was sure Wesley and Fred were gone he knelt down on the floor put a towel over Spike's exposed parts and pulled the smaller man's head into his lap. "Spike." He said gently. "You can wake up now their gone. Spike?" He gave the unconscious figure a light shake. Spike's eyes slowly fluttered open then began to fill with tears.

"Angel did they see...?" He couldn't bring himself to finish the sentence, he just began to sob into Angel's lap. "It was there this morning, I don't know what..." He suddenly stopped and sat bolt upright. "You... y-you did this to me!" He shouted as he stood up and pulled his jeans on. "You knocked me up and now I'm a... no, no I'm not." He continued to babble to himself as he backed out of the doorway and ran out of the room Angel chasing after him.

"Spike!" Angel called after the blonde as they broke into a run down the hall. "Spike talk to me!" He demanded. They ran down the steps in the main lobby. Not getting an answer Angel leaped over the railing and cut Spike off. "Tell me what's wrong!" Angel snarled.

"No!" Spike shouted. "You're the one who did this to me! Because of your dominance issues you always have to be on top!"

"Spike!" Angel growled. His eyes darted over to the four people sitting over by the front desk, Harmony, Lorne, Wesley and Fred stared back. "Why don't we discuss this in private." He hissed.

"Did you not see it?" Spike said hysterically. "Or the lack of it." He sniffed as new tears threatened to spill. "I'm... I'm not... me anymore." He sniffed again, this time tears began to roll down his now rosy cheeks. "And... and... it's your fault." Spike collapsed into Angel's arms as both men dropped to the floor. Spike sobbed into the crook of the other vampire's neck while Angel made quiet shushing sounds.

"Shh." Angel cooed, rubbing his boy's back comfortingly. "It's alright."

"S'not alright. Fix it please." Spike sobbed. "Please." He began to plead. "Please, please..." His words trailed off into senseless babble.

Angel continued to rock Spike back and forth trying to comfort him, he didn't even notice when the others left the room to give them some privacy. After a half an hour of sitting on the cold lobby floor Spike stopped crying.

"You can let go love, I'm better now." He said weakly with a slight sniffle.

Angel refused to let go and just continued to rub Spike's back. "You've got to eat something, you must be starving." He said finally.

"I'll go get something from the fridge." Spike made a move to get up but Angel wouldn't let go. "That kinda entails getting up pet."

"No." Angel said sternly. "You need sire's blood. Your eating for two now, remember?"

"Guess so." Spike mumbled quietly as Angel lifted him up and walked him over to one of the couches.

"Here." He said pulling Spike into his lap and leaning his head to the side to expose his jugular. Spike licked his lips hungrily then vamped, sinking his fangs deep into his sire's willing neck. Once he had, had his fill Spike slumped back into the couch and fell asleep. Angel gently lifted Spike off his lap and tucked a blanket around him then stood up and walked over to the staircase.

"You can come out now." He said quietly as four figures emerged from behind the stairs.

"Sorry Angel." Fred said sweetly. "We didn't mean to snoop it's just that..."

"It's okay Fred." Angel said softly. "We have a situation. Spike's pregnant and, considering the circumstances I think this kid might be just a bit more mystical than Connor was." He sighed. "Lorne. I want you to go through the hotel and get rid of any cigarettes you find. We can't have him smoking now."

"Got it cinnamon buns." Lorne nodded then disappeared up the stairs.

"Wes, get rid of any alcohol, especially the JD. We can't have him getting into that stuff either." Angel continued.

"Right." Wesley walked off to the office to empty the liquor cabinet.

"Harm, Fred." Angel said turning back to the girls. "Could you go into the basement and get the old baby proofing stuff we bought? And any other baby stuff you can find."

"Sure Angel, but what are you going to do?" Harmony asked as Fred walked towards the basement.

"I'm gonna get Spike back to bed. He needs his rest now." Angel said. Harmony nodded in agreement then walked off to join Fred.

Angel walked over to the couch and lifted the sleeping figure into his arms. "Wha..." Spike moaned.

"Shh." Angel cooed softly. "Just taking you up to bed. Go back to sleep." Spike gave a soft moan then dropped off to sleep again.

When Angel had Spike safely tucked away in bed he went back down stairs. He went directly to the mini fridge that held their blood supply and grabbed two bags. He didn't even bother to heat them he just tore into the first one with his teeth. Angel was starved from feeding Spike. When he was half way through his third bag Lorne walked in, his arms overflowing with half empty cigarette cartons.

"Gods, he smokes a lot." He huffed as the occupants of his arms were spilled across the front counter.

"And drinks a lot." Wesley added as he appeared from the back office holding two half full bottles of JD as well as four almost empty ones.

"You sure that's all of it?" Angel asked Wesley sizing up the amount of liquor as apposed to how much Spike could drink in one sitting.

"All the JD, yes. The rest of it's in my car. You still need to clean out the ones in your room." Wesley said, setting down his load as well.

"No, there's only empties in our room..." Angel stopped.

"Angel?" Fred asked as she and Harmony appeared from the basement with the baby stuff. "What is it?"

"We don't know how long he's been pregnant!" Angel said gripping the side of the counter in shock. "He could have been drinking and smoking through the pregnancy and be hurting the baby!"

"You think I'm that daft?" Spike asked from the top of the stairs.

"S- Spike." Angel stammered. "You should be sleeping."

"The last bout of hurling kinda woke me up." He smirked. "And I've been pregnant since the night you killed
Illyria. I haven't had a drink or a smoke since then. Besides I'm to nauseous to anyways. However the lack of a penis in new."

"
You knew about it then? How?" Wesley asked, his voice reflecting the same amount of confusion as his face.

"I don't know how. Well that's a lie." Spike snickered. "She's been talking to me in my dreams. Tellin' me about what's to come, rot like that." Spike said, descending the rest of the stairs and walking over to Angel.

"She?" Angel said gripping the counter tighter.

"Ya love, yer getting' a girl this time." Spike smiled then looked over to Wesley. "Oh by the way she told me to tell you that if you find any prophecies about how the father will kill the daughter, she says to disregard them."

Wesley chuckled slightly. "I'm certainly not going to do that again."

"You'd better not." Angel snorted. "So, we're having a girl?"

"Ya love." Spike chuckled. "And um... what's with all this we crap? I'm the one pushin' the kid out. You were just there for the fun part."

"Oh really?" Angel smiled evilly as he inched closer to Spike, wrapping his arms around his boy's waist. "Well who will be up for
midnight blood runs? Or one A.M. food runs for cravings? And who will be there for noon hornyness when they are to tired but do it anyways to please you?" Angel quirked an eyebrow suggestively.

"You too tired?" Spike scoffed. "You mate, are never to tired." With a smile Angel and Spike claimed each other's mouth with their own.

"Hey guys, we don't need to see that." Lorne whined.

Angel and Spike ignored the matching grunts of disapproval from the others and kept going. Angel finally broke away from his childe and whispered so only Spike could hear. "Wanna try your new parts out?"

"Blood right." Spike whispered back. They made their way up the stairs chased by sighs of satisfaction from the others.

Part 2

It had been two months since they found out Spike was pregnant. The hotel had been baby proofed and the nursery was set up. It also seamed that baby proofing also meant Harmony proofing, the ditz was having the toughest time opening the cupboards, the fridge and other things that had been fixed for their new arrival. Spike's cravings had started two or three weeks ago and Angel and the rest of the gang were up around the clock getting him various types of ice cream and other interesting things.

"Angel!" Spike yelled from the balcony that over looked the lobby.

"What Spike?" Angel huffed as he ran out from the office. "What's wrong? You okay? How's the baby?"

"Fine, except we could really use the fried chicken, chocolate ice cream and peppers that I asked for ten minutes ago!" Spike snarled.

"Sorry babe! I just got caught up with a client." Angel saw the look on Spike's face shift to a death glare. "Just give me one second and I'll get Wes on it okay?"

"Fine!" Spike snapped turning on his heal and stomping back up the stairs.

Angel turned back into the office and back to the client. "Could you just give me one second to call an associate of mine about something?" The man nodded. "Thanks." Angel said picking up the phone and hitting three on speed dial. "Hey Wesley... could you pick up some fried chicken, chocolate ice cream and peppers for Spike? Thanks... you're a life saver." He heard a loud crash from upstairs. "Better step on it." Angel hung up the phone turning back to the client. "Sorry about that sir.

Half an hour later Angel walked up stairs to his room ready to be hit with the full force of Spike's hormones. He opened the door and walked into the room ready to be verbally abused but surprisingly was met with Spike sobbing on the bed.

Angel rushed over to the bed and wrapped his arms around the shaking figure. "Shh." He cooed. "Tell me what's wrong." Angel said softly as he moved the friend chicken box off of the bed so he could sit down.

"Everything." Spike sniffed. "You... you don't have time for me anymore. You're ignoring me."

"No I'm not." Angel said. "I was with a client. I was trying to make money to support the baby and us."

"But... we never talk anymore." Spike started to sob again. "Your always off with a client or out with Wes, Lorne or Gunn. You never have time for me unless you want sex and if you remember that's how we got into this situation in the first place." Spike chuckled slightly.

"Well no offence but your newly grown parts are almost as fun as your old one's, who could blame me?" Angel laughed then instantly regretted it as Spike started to cry harder. "No! No, no I didn't mean... I'm sorry."

Spike stopped crying a while later and cuddled up to Angel. "Angel." He said quietly.

"Yes love?"

"Can I have some blood?"

"Only for you." Angel smiled then exposed his neck to his childe. When Spike had his fill and fallen asleep Angel snuck down stairs for a snack, feeding Spike always zapped his strength and gave him the munchies in a bad way.

He walked behind the front desk and grabbed the last few bags of blood from the fridge. He ripped into the first one so fast and started to eat he didn't even hear Lorne walk over to him.

"Hey Angelcakes." Lorne said making Angel jump and choke at the same time.

"Lorne." He panted, setting the now empty bag down. "You scared me."

"Sorry." Lorne said halfheartedly grabbing some milk from the fridge. "Let me guess Spike got hungry again." He joked eyeing the bags then the now half healed wound on Angel's neck.

"Ya." Angel nodded. He and Lorne sat in silence while Angle finished the remaining two bags. When he was done he deposited the bags in the garbage, all three were now as dry as the
Sahara.

"Feel better?" Lorne said taking a sip from his milk.

"No. I'm still hungry and now I have to go get more blood before Spike wakes up." Angel sighed as he began to search around for his duster.

"Angel, no need." Lorne said, putting his empty glass in the sink. "I've got a guy that owes me a few." Angel quirked an eyebrow up in confusion. "I can have him here in ten minutes to enchant the fridge with a never ending blood supply."

Angel let out a huge sigh falling to lean against Lorne, who caught the exhausted vampire. "You're a god."

"I know." Lorne smiled.

"And this is just the first two months!" Angel whined. "Imagine what he's going to be like when he starts to show!"

"One step at a time Angel." Lorne said soothingly as he pushed Angel back onto his own two feet. "Why don't I go call my guy? And you go upstairs and get some sleep. Tomorrow you will be met with a never ending supply of hot an cold running blood." With that Lorne disappeared into the office.

Angel shuffled up the stairs and into his room. He shed his cloths and slowly lowered himself into the bed trying desperately not to wake Spike. Angel eventually fell into a deep sleep.

When he woke up the next morning Angel felt more rested than he had been in the last two and a half months. He could hear the shower running which meant that Spike was already up. Angel sat there for a moment longer and waited for the shower to stop, when it did he sat up in bed waiting for Spike to emerge.

Spike walked out a moment later and his eyes immediately fell on the sexy vampire sprawled suggestively across their bed. "Well, well, well." He smirked. "What's this then love?"

"Breakfast in bed." Angel smiled back.

"I'm not hungry pet, but I can think of another use for you." Spike pounced on Angel and began to plunder the other vampire's mouth.

Part 3

"Angel!" Spike shouted from the balcony. Angel sprang up from where he was sleeping on the couch, Spike had thrown him out of their room a few nights ago.

"What! What's wrong?" Angel asked franticly, still half asleep.

"The morning sickness stopped!" Spike yelled excitedly. "I'm not nauseous anymore!"

"Great!" Angel smiled then looked down at his watch. "And you had to tell me this at
seven A.M?"

"Hey. I'm speaking to you again and letting you back into the room." Spike shook a menacing finger at Angel. "So I will wake you up any damn time I please!"

"Yes babe." Angel chuckled. "I bottled some of my blood for your breakfast, go get some and I'll get Lorne for your weekly reading."

"Okay." Spike said as he descended the rest of the stairs and began to raid the fridge.

It had been four months now and Spike had just started to show. Spike blamed Angel for it and kicked him out of their room. Since nearly every other room in the place didn't have a bed Angel found it easier to sleep on one of the lobby couches for a few nights.

Angel walked down the halls whistling as he went. He knocked on Lorne and Harmony's door, which was followed by rustling sounds and Harmony opening the door in nothing, but a bed sheet wrapped around her girl parts.

"Angel." She panted. "What are you doing here so early?"

Angel rolled his eyes at the blonde. "I need Lorne for Spike's weekly reading."

"Oh." She sighed. "Lorne." She called back into the room. "Angel needs you to read Spike."

"Right, tell him I'll be down in a second." Lorne's voice said from somewhere in the room.

"He said..." Harmony started to repeat the message but was cut off by Angel.

"Ya Harm I got it, vampire hearing remember?" He turned rolling his eyes again and walked back to the lobby.

When he got down stairs he walked over to Spike and wrapped his arms around his childe's waist. "Hey you." He whispered giving Spike's ear a slight nibble.

"Hey yourself." Spike whispered back.

Angel looked down. "Are those my jeans?"

Spike opened his mouth to respond but was cut off by Gunn. "Hey, hey, hey!" Gunn shouted from the door. "Would you two cut that out? You're making me queasy."

"We didn't complain when you and Fred were at it constantly." Angel snapped.

"Well that was different... somehow." Gunn stammered. "Hey look who I found outside!"

Angel looked towards the door, as Connor shuffled in behind Gunn carrying two bags full of what one could only assume was luggage. "Connor!" Angel smiled, running over and enveloping his son in a tight hug.

"Hi dad." Connor smiled back as he was squished. "Dad... kinda... need to breathe."

"Oh sorry, it's just I haven't seen you in..."

"Three months." Connor finished the thought for him.

"Ya, three months." Angel smiled then looked down on the bags. "What are those for?"

"Oh these." Connor chuckled awkwardly. "Ya, I've decided to take a year or so off from college to trip around
Europe."

"Wow." Angel laughed. "And I can't see your parents taking this all that well."

"Ya they kinda blew their stack but I figure after a year or so of not seeing me might make them forgive me."

"Ya." Angel nodded in agreement. "Well it's good that your doing this, I would have when I was your age but I already lived in
Europe so..."

"No real thrill." Connor said.

"Pretty much." They all sat there in silence for a while before Spike spoke up.

"Angel." He said softly.

Angel turned. "What is it?"

"I..." Spike didn't get much farther. His eyes started to cloud over with glowing white film and he fell backwards onto the floor.

"Spike!" Angel shouted, running over to him. He pulled Spike's head into his lap and tried to snap him out of his daze. "Spike, talk to me please babe."

Nothing seamed to work then Spike started to speak. "Blood, lots. A girl, screaming. She's their sacrifice. Tonight, on the full moon in the park." Spike's eyes began to slowly fade back to their normal ice blue as he sat up. "What happened?"

"Looks like you just had a vision." Angel said breathing a sigh of relief.

Just then Lorne came barreling down the stairs Harmony swaggering behind him as he shouted. "Harmony just had a vision!" He huffed out of breath from the run.

"So did Spike." Angel said as he heaved Spike off the floor and sat him down on one of the couches in the lobby.

"Okay this is gettin' just plain weird." Gunn said sarcastically, running up the stairs to help Lorne with Harmony.

"Actually it makes perfect sense." Darla said from over by the front door making everyone freeze.

"Oh not you again." Angel sighed.

"Mom?" Connor asked shakily.

"No sorry kid, I just borrowed her physical form for a second." She said rolling her eyes. "Anyways like I was saying. This Harmony chick you had us give the visions to isn't getting half of what we send her so we fixed it."

"Fixed it how?" Angel hissed. "By giving Spike visions too? How does that help?"

"Actually we got Spike pregnant and gave her the visions." She smirked pointing to Spike's stomach.

"Her?" Connor asked, quirking an eyebrow up in confusion.

"Oh ya forgot. Spike's pregnant and you're getting a sister, surprise." Angel smiled weakly at Connor.

"Oh." He said, stunned.

"Hello!" Darla half shouted. "Powers That Be are talking here! A little respect." She cleared her throat then continued. "Anyways, for now Harmony will continue to get the visions until the baby is old enough to tell you what she sees. The baby is due October thirty first. Also don't go to a doctor, we're sending a shaman to help prepare for the baby he should be here any minute. Be sure to make him comfortable, give him and his associate a room if need be. That's all I was sent here to tell you now I'm leaving. Bye." She disappeared.

"Well that's just perfect!" Angel sighed. "One more person knowing about the baby."

"
Actually this might help." Gunn said as he, Lorne and Harmony walked down the steps. "I mean the Powers wouldn't want anything to happen to the daughter of two champions so this guy will be totally safe right?"

"I would still prefer Lorne checking the baby." Angel sighed.

"He may assist me if you wish." A warm, familiar voice said from the door. Angel followed the voice, which lead him to the man standing there. He had short gray, brown hair and a gold earring in one ear. He wore a brown tweed coat and blue jeans. The man was flanked by a woman, she was rather short and had blonde hair that was tied up in a neat bun. She was wearing the short brown leather jacket that once belonged to Spike and was carrying their bags.

"Buffy? Giles?" Spike said in shock as he peered over the edge of the couch.

"Buffy? Giles?" Angel said his mouth hanging open.

"Spike?" Buffy sputtered dropping the bags she was holding. "Your alive?"

"In a manner of speaking ya." Spike chuckled awkwardly. He looked over to Giles. "You're a shaman?"

"In a manner of speaking yes." He said with dignity. "Your pregnant?"

"Ya."

"
Wait I'm still stuck on the your alive part." Buffy said sarcastically.

"Dad." Connor said abruptly.

"Dad? What you got another one?" Buffy asked, hands on hips.

"Dad my flight leaves in an hour and a half I just stopped here to say a quick goodbye." Connor said gathering his bags up. "I'll see you in a year or so." He said giving Angle a quick hug.

"Bye Connor." Angel said quietly. "Oh and if you go to
France, don't drink the water." Connor gave a small smile then walked out the door.

"Goodness Angel how many children do you have?" Giles asked taking off his glasses and cleaning them then he replaced them.

"Just the one for now, the other one is due in October apparently." Angel sighed.

"Whatever." Buffy said dismissing Angel and Giles and walking over to the couch to sit next to Spike. Before she could sit down Angel jumped over the back of the couch and blocked Spike from her. He vamped, bared his fangs and growled at her, this caused the slayer to jump back as her hand instinctively flew to the stake in her pocket. "Whoa Angel!" She gasped. "What the hell was that for?"

"Stay away from him!" Angel hissed.

"Angel what's your deal, you hate Spike!" Buffy shouted pulling the stake out menacingly.

"Would you two calm down!" Giles yelled stalking over and standing between the two. "Angel is just acting on instinct. He's protecting his mate. Not even a soul could cover an instinct like that."

"His mate?" Buffy hissed lowering the stake. "Since when are you two gay?"

"
Vampires don't pay attention to orientation, or species." Giles said trying to calm Buffy down. "They really don't care whom they take to their bed as long as they are willing... or unwilling it really doesn't matter to them."

"What does matter to them?" Buffy rolled her eyes.

"Love." Angel snarled as his face shifted back to normal. He sat down and wrapped an arm around Spike, his eyes glaring daggers at Buffy. "All I know is that last time Spike was left with you he died so excuse me if I seam a little on edge with you around him."

"Since when are you Spike's mate? And when did you get so angry towards me? Last time I saw you everything was just peachy." Buffy shouted.

"Well for your information I've been in love with Spike since the moment I sired him!" Angel yelled back standing up to loom over Buffy.

"I thought Dru sired him."

"Dru? Are you kidding me? Dru could hardly take care of herself let alone a fledgling." Angel laughed. "I made him then gave him to Dru for her birthday, after I was done with him of coarse."

"Hey I finally figured out why I don't understand vampires! Like how their comfortable giving their own kind as gifts." Buffy glared at Angel.

The two continued to argue while the other people in the lobby just watched. "That's enough!" Giles shouted a moment later. "Angel where's Wesley I should like to speak with him."

"Wes and Fred are on vacation. It was getting kinda crazy around here so I gave them a week or so off." Angel said calmly sitting back down next to Spike.

"Fred?" Buffy snorted. "Is Wesley gay too? Can't say I'm surprised."

"
Winifred." Angel said emphasizing her name. "Is Wes' girlfriend."

"
Oh." Buffy said quietly, she then became very interested in her feet.

Giles rolled his eyes at them. "Angel can I please look at Spike now?" Giles saw Angel's eyes briefly flash gold. "I mean him no harm I'm just doing my job."

"I was meaning to ask you about that." Angel stopped glaring at Buffy and turned to Giles. "How'd The Powers rope you into this?"

"One of the coven's seers told me I was needed here to help with a mystical child." Giles said as he began rifling through one of his suitcases. He soon found what he needed and pulled out a black doctors bag. "They also suggested that I take Buffy with me, something about her needing to see something. Well, lets bring Spike up to your room and I will check him over."

"Right." Angel nodded.

Spike, Angel, Giles and Buffy walked up stairs to Angel and Spike's room. When they got there Angel rounded on Buffy. "Any and all weapons you have on you, especially anything wooden will not go past the living room. Are we clear?"

"Fine." Buffy hissed. They entered the room and Buffy started to unload her weapons onto the coffee table. When everything was out she slumped back onto the couch. "Happy now?"

"Thrilled."
Angel growled slightly.

"So Giles where do you want me?" Spike said breaking up Buffy and Angel's evil stare contest.

"Go lie on the bed and take your cloths off please." Giles motioned to the bedroom.

"Not before dinner and drinks old man." Spike chuckled.

"Spike can't you be serious about anything in your life?"

"No." Spike snickered. Giles just rolled his eyes and ushered Spike into the bedroom leaving Angel and Buffy alone.

"So..." Angel said trying to break the ice.

"Why did you do that?" Buffy asked bluntly. "The thing down stairs, when you blocked me from Spike. I wasn't going to hurt him, I was just trying to talk to him." She sighed. "You didn't need to go all primal on me."

"I'm sorry." Angel mumbled sitting down next to her. "My instincts as his sire and his mate kicked in. It's just that you were closer to him than I had been in a long time and I was afraid that he would go back to you or something."

"Angel, it's obvious that he loves you. I mean even when we were sleeping together, if you could call what we did sleeping, anyways I could always tell that there was something he was missing. Now I realize what that something is." Buffy sighed leaning her head on Angel's shoulder.

"It's been so long since we were a family I thought that he didn't love me anymore. I guess I still think it's a dream and you being here made me even more worried that it might be."

"I get what your saying. When you came back from hell I thought you were a dream too." She gave a half smile. "By the way, how is Spike alive I mean I saw him dust."

"The amulet thing stored his soul and reconstructed it when it was brought out again." Angel said.

"Oh. Cool." Buffy giggled.

"Angel." Giles called from the other room. "He wont take off his pants, I think your presence would help."

"Okay be in, in a second." He called back then turned back to Buffy. "We cool?"

"We're cool. Go help Giles."

Angel stood up and walked through the glass doors that separated the living room from the bedroom. When he was inside his eyes immediately fell on Spike who was sitting on the bed, shirtless with his arms crossed and his nose in the air.

"Spike." Angel sighed as he knelt next to the bed. "Giles needs you to cooperate. Don't you want to make sure the baby is safe?"

"I don't want him to see it." Spike mumbled as he continued to pout.

"Babe, Giles is here to help. He has to see it." Angel said, placing a cool hand on Spike's arm.

"No."

"Okay fine." Angel sighed. "If you want to play it like this when you get all your parts back I'll never sleep with you again."

"You wouldn't dare!" Spike snarled.

"Watch me! I went with out sex of any kind for a hundred years trust me I can do with out it." Angel said calmly. Spike just glared at him. "Take off your pants." Angel growled.

"Fine!" Spike hissed. He continued to mumble as he slid his pants down and kicked them off. He then leaned back on the bed giving Giles room to work.

"Thank you." Giles said, opening his bag. He began checking Spike over, taking various strange objects out of the bag. Finally he pulled out something Angel recognized. He pulled a stethoscope out of the bag and placed it on Spike's stomach. He pressed it to various areas and sighed at different places.

"Hey." Spike scowled. "What's with all the hmm's and that rot?"

"Have a listen." Giles said dismissing Spike and handing Angel the stethoscope. "Press it right there." He pointed to a spot on Spike's stomach.

Angel did as he was told and placed it on Spike's stomach. His eyes lit up when he heard a soft heartbeat. "Spike listen." He handed it to Spike.

His eyes lit up as well when he heard the heart beat. "She's really in there." He smiled.

"Here." Giles said pulling a small blue orb out of the bag. "It's kind of like a mystical sonogram." He placed the orb in Angel's palm and guided his other hand on the spot where the stethoscope was the moment before. As he did a slightly fuzzy picture appeared inside the orb, it was clearly a baby.

Tears of joy began to well up in Spike's eyes as he looked at the image. "There she is."

"I'll give you two a moment." Giles said softly gathering up his things and walking towards the door. "I'll ask someone to show us to our rooms." He walked out closing the door behind him.

When he was gone Angel crawled into bed and wrapped his arm around Spike. "How do you feel?"

"Better." Spike sniffed snuggling deeper into Angel's embrace. "Now that I know all this pain and moodiness is working towards something good."

"Ya." Angel smiled, kissing Spike on the forehead then on the lips.

"Angel?"

"Yes?"

"Could we not shag? I just wanna, cuddle."

Angel gave a slight smile. "We could do that." He kissed Spike again and started to hum as he and Spike slowly drifted off to sleep.

Part 4

Seven months had passed since Spike had gotten pregnant and everyone was on edge making last minute preparations for the baby, but as far as Spike was concerned gaining weight and losing his figure were worse than any apocalypse they had faced thus far. Spike was so devastated about the increasing pant sizes that he hardly ever left the room and whenever he did Angel was never far behind. Buffy, Gunn, Harmony and Wesley had taken over the cases and visions so Angel could help Giles, Fred and Lorne tend to Spike.
Willow had joined Buffy and Giles a month or so before and her, Wesley and Fred were brainstorming ideas on how to make sure Spike and the baby lived through the birth just incase anything went wrong. They figured that a C-section would be safest if it was absolutely necessary.

There was a loud crash and Angel's head sprang up from the book he had fallen asleep on. "What? What's happening?" He asked the air before he realized the no one was there. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and ran to his and Spike's room to make sure he was okay.

When he reached the room he found Spike sitting in the middle of the living room wearing Angel's dark blue pajama pants and bleeding from somewhere. "Spike!" Angel ran over to him and began to look for the wound. "What happened? Are you okay? You're bleeding, why are you bleeding?" Angel asked franticly looking for the wound to no avail.

Spike turned around to show the gash in his shoulder blade. "I was trying to stand up from the chair, and I slipped and cut my shoulder on the edge of the table." He sniffed.

"Oh God. I'll get Giles." Angel moved to get up but was stopped by Spike's hand gripping his arm.

"It's already half healed, can't you take care of it? I don't want to see anybody right now."

Angel was about to question Spike but stopped. He looked into Spike's eyes and saw something he had never seen in Spike, fear. "Spike. What's wrong?"

"It's the baby's soul. God one was bad enough now I've got two!" He sniffed. "I can't deal with this. I never thought it was possible to remember every person, but it is."

"I know." Angel sighed hugging Spike. "I know." A moment later Angel stood up walked to the bathroom and reemerged with a basin of cool water and a washcloth. He began to clean Spike's wound.

"Angel." Spike said after a few moments of silence.

"Yes?"

"How are we going to raise her?"

"What do you mean?"

"We can't go out in the sun, kids like to play in the sun."

"I've still got the gem of Amara. We can use that."

"I thought you smashed that?"

"No."

Another moment of silence then Spike spoke again. "How are we going to watch her die?"

Angel stopped cleaning Spike's back and set the cloth in the basin. "What?"

"Think about it. We're immortal, she won't be. How are we going to be able to go on after she's gone? I've never lost a child before and I really don't want to experience it."

"We will deal with that when it happens. All we can do now is wait for her to be born."

"Right." Spike said sadly.

"What made you think of this?" Angel asked as he started to dress Spike's wound.

"I don't know. Just all these people telling me that she's so important to mankind. It's been my experience that people like that have a rather short expiration date."

"Ya." Angel sighed. "All done." He said standing up and putting the basin and medical supplies back in the bathroom. He sat back on the floor behind Spike. "Lets not worry about that yet." Spike gave a slight nod. "Lets worry about what we are going to name her."

"I totally forgot about that." Spike gave a weak smile. "I always liked Alexandra."

"Sounds good to me." Angel smiled, wrapping his arms around Spike and leaning his chin on Spike's good shoulder. "What about a middle name?"

"Think about it. Who's the one girl we both fell head over heals for?" Spike mused.

"Buffy." The both said.

"So that's it, Alexandra Buffy..." Angel trailed off. "What's her last name going to be?"

"Good question."

"Well, we have a few choices." Angel said, starting to count off names on his fingers. "We have my human name, McBride, the name we used for Connor, Angel or your vampire names, Spike or Bloody."

"Wow, is this kid going to be screwed up or what?" Spike chuckled softly. "I like Idol."

"Idol? Where did you get that?"

"That was my name." Spike said with dignity. "William Henry Idol."

"Wait." Angel said suppressing a laugh. "Your name was Billy Idol?"

"Ya. What's so funny about it?" Spike snarled playfully.

"Nothing it's just..." Angel laughed. "Just I thought that Billy Idol only stole your look not you name."

"Well he did. His name was something and after he met me it was Billy Idol." Spike said. "Bloke ripped my name and my style."

Angle stopped laughing. "So that's it then, Alexandra Buffy Idol."

"Sounds good." Spike nodded.

Part 5

It was the day before Halloween and the baby was due tomorrow. The rest of the Scooby gang had flown in from various parts of the world for the birth and the hotel was getting very crowded. Xander, Dawn, Kennedy, Robin, Faith and Andrew were trying to help with Spike as much as possible but he refused to see any one except Angel or Giles.

Xander was sitting on the couch in the lobby playing video games at
three A.M. when Angel came tromping down the stairs. "Hey dead boy." Xander called.

"Hey Xander." Angel said with a slight wave.

"What?" Xander said in shock turning of the game system. "No witty, bite me Zeppo comments? Are you feeling all right?"

"To hungry to fight." He said cursing the baby lock on the fridge then wrenching it open and extracting a bag of blood.

"Hungry?" Xander asked walking over to join him.

"It's been nine months and Spike has been drinking my blood this entire time." Angel sighed setting the bag down and showing Xander the two puncture wounds on his neck.

"Ouch." Xander cringed sitting down on the front counter. "So... how are you and Spike handling having Buffy around? Considering you both had a relationship with her."

Angel didn't answer, he just choked down the bag of cold blood. "Ugh." He said with a shiver. "You know I haven't had warm blood in eight and a half months." Angel sighed tossing the empty bag into the trash.

"Ya..." Xander said awkwardly. "That must be rough."

"Ya." Angel heaved himself onto the counter next to Xander. "So what's this I heard about you losing an eye? Looks like you've got all your appendages in tact."

"Oh ya." Xander gave a half smile. "The coven in
England taught Willow how to fix me up."

"Right." Angel nodded.

"I heard that you have another kid of the grown up variety. That true?"

"Ya, Connor." Angel smiled weakly. "He was born a few years ago then a psychopath enemy of mine from two hundred years ago stole him and raised him in a hell dimension. He came back three weeks later and he was all grown up. He tried to kill me then went crazy and I had Wolfram and Hart give him a new life. He found out about his old life and now were... friends."

"Wow." Xander said quietly. "Never a dull moment around here is there?"

"Nope." Angel laughed. "I also heard from Kennedy that Anya died. Sorry about that."

"It's cool." Xander sighed slightly. "Besides I think we were at the not quite friends, not quite in love stage. So it didn't take me long to realize that she died saving the world and is probably in a better place now."

"
She went down fighting." Angel said. "That's always a good way to go."

"Ya." Xander nodded. "But to be honest I was kinda bummed when I heard that Spike made it. I knew he would have liked to go down fighting as well."

"You know, this is probably the most civil conversation we have ever had." Angel smiled. He and Xander sat there for a while in silence. Finally Angel looked up at the clock on the wall. "Wow. It's four already. Why are you up anyways?"

"Jet lag."

"
Oh." Angel said. "Well I'd better get back to bed before Spike wakes up and can't find me." Angel hopped off the counter and began walking towards the stairs when he saw Spike standing on the second story balcony.

"Angel." Spike said quietly.

"What's wrong babe?" Angel asked walking towards him.

"My stomach hurts. I think it's a contraction, I'm having the baby." Spike sniffed, on the verge of tears.

"Oh god!" Angel breathed running up the stairs and over to Spike. He began to help Spike down the stairs while shouting orders to Xander. "Xander, get the others. Tell them to go to battle stations now!"

"Right." Xander yelped running over to the main intercom and pressing the button. "Every one wake up! Spike's having the baby! This is not a drill, every one report to battle stations right the hell now!" He clicked the intercom off, ran up stairs and started banging on doors. "Baby time every body! Wake up!"

Back down in the lobby Angel had put Spike down on one of the bigger couches and was helping him through the contraction. "Your alright, your alright." He whispered into Spike's ear. "Everything is going to be fine."

"Angel it hurts." Spike winced. When the contraction had ended Angel removed Spike's pants and covered him with a blanket.

Xander and the others came running down the stairs a moment later. Giles pushed past the others and kneeled down next to Spike. He ducked his head down to see how far along Spike was and reappeared a moment later. "He hasn't even started to dilate yet." He sighed. "We're in for quite a long wait."

"How long?" Spike hissed.

"Considering the baby isn't supposed to be due until tomorrow evening I would say a good twenty hours." Giles said trying to gloss over the day of pain Spike was in for.

"Bloody hell." Spike sighed.

"
Willow." Angel called to the redhead. "Call Wes, Fred and Gunn. We need them here."

"Sure." She nodded then disappeared into the office.

Angel looked at the wall clock. "Can someone close the shades? The sun should be up in a little bit." Faith and Buffy got up and closed all the shades in the lobby.

Ten minutes later Wesley, Fred and Gunn ran in through the main doors. Fred and Gunn rushed straight to the couch where Spike was while Wesley flipped the sign to closed and locked all the doors.

The sun came and the day began to slowly creep by. Every one was taking turns helping Giles with Spike while everyone else ate, slept, talked and watched T.V. Angel stayed by Spike's side all day, not even getting up to eat. There had been a few calls, they eventually unplugged the phone because the noise was bothering Spike. No one left or entered the hotel all day.

Faith winced at the sound of Spike's latest contraction as Robin joined her behind the front desk. She handed him the bag of pretzels she was munching on. "Jeez nearly ten hours and only dilated half way. Remind me to never let you knock me up." She sighed in relief as the contraction ended.

"Deal." Robin chuckled taking a bite of pretzel then handing the bag back to Faith. "Who would've thought, a male vampire having a baby." He shook his head.

"Well, when you hang with these guys this is the norm." Faith joked.

"All I know is that since I started hanging around with you slayers I've seen some of the weirdest stuff imaginable." Robin snorted wrapping an arm around Faith.

"Not now Robin." Faith said jumping down from the desk she was sitting on. "We have bigger things to worry about."

"Right." They walked back into the lobby. Robin sighed slumping down in a chair, Faith sitting in his lap. "Well it looks like someone could use a break." He said eyeing Angel who was half asleep at the edge of the couch.

"Seriously." Faith grunted in agreement. "Hey Angel why don't you take a break, we can take turns helping with Spike."

"No." Angel said sleepily, rubbing his eyes. "The last person who had one of my children died, I'm not letting that happen again."

"Angel, you look like your two steps away from death." Buffy said as she started to clean up the various dishes strewn about the lobby.

"I think I'm a little past death Buffy." Angel rolled his eyes then focused again on Spike.

"Suit yourself then." Buffy sighed.

"Angel." Spike said quietly, speaking for the first time since the contractions started. Everyone in the lobby fell silent.

"What is it babe?" Angel asked, inching as close to Spike as he could get.

"She needs to be outside." He said, his voice hoarse from screaming.

"Who needs to be outside?" Angel inched even closer to Spike.

"The baby, she needs to see the sky. There." He pointed out to the garden.

"Okay, we can do that. We'll move you as soon as the sun goes down okay?" Angel kissed Spike's hand comfortingly.

"Okay." Spike fell silent again. A few moments later Spike fell into a light sleep, the contractions were still very inconsistent.

"Angel." Giles said softly. "We can't move him. If we do we will endanger the baby."

"Spike wants her to see the sky, so that is what we give him."

"Angel, if Spike is in labor any longer we may have to perform a C- section." Giles said sternly.

"Just give him a little more time." Tears were welling up in Angel's eyes. "Let him do this. Please."

"Alright, we will give him until sundown, then we operate." Giles removed his glasses and massaged the bridge of his nose in frustration.

The sun had set and it almost
midnight Spike was now begging to be brought into the garden. The others were holding Angel back so he couldn't take Spike out. "She needs to be outside!" Spike yelled, struggling against Faith. "She needs to see the sky."

"Spike, we need you inside to operate." Giles said as he attempted to stick a syringe of morphine into Spike's arm to no avail.

"No. No operating, she needs to be... Bloody hell!" Spike shouted as he was hit with the biggest contraction yet.

Giles looked to see how far along he was and sprang back up a moment later. "He's fully dilated!"

In the confusion Spike leapt up from the couch and ran out to the garden. Angel broke out of Buffy and Robin's grasp and followed him. Spike collapsed onto the empty fountain in the center of the garden and screamed in pain as the contraction persisted.

"Alright love, the baby is coming just relax." Angel said soothingly trying to calm Spike down. "Giles!" He called back into the hotel. Giles appeared just then flanked by the entire population of the hotel.

Giles knelt down next to Spike. "Now Spike the baby is coming so I want you to push when the next contraction hits, just tell me when that happens alright?"

"Happening now!" Spike yelled in pain.

"Right now push." Giles instructed him.

Spike reached out and wrapped a hand around Angel's neck. "You devil spawn is trying to rip it's way out of me and it bloody hurts!"

Angel uncurled Spike's hand from around his throat and held onto it. Spike squeezed Angel's hand with enough force it would have shattered a mortal's hand.

"I see the head!" Giles announced. "Keep pushing Spike, I've got the shoulders, back, legs, feet, she's out!" Giles said as he let Angel cut the umbilical cord.

"Oh god." Spike sighed, panting heavily.

"Buffy, Faith clean her off." He said handing the baby to the slayers then turning back to Spike. "Alright almost done. Get ready for the after birth."

Part 6

Half an hour later Angel and Spike were lying in their bed back in their room. Buffy and Xander took the baby to the doctor to get her newborn check up, they hadn't returned yet. Spike was so exhausted that the instant his head hit the pillow he was dead to the world. Angel sat up despite his exhaustion watching over him and running his fingers through the messy blonde hair. There was a soft knock at the door and Buffy walked in holding baby Alexandra. Angel got up off the bed and walked over to her. She handed the baby to Angle with a smile.

"According to the doctor she's one of the healthiest babies they've ever seen. She's six pounds and fifteen ounces." Buffy smiled. "We said her mother was still in the hospital from birth complications."

"Good." Angel said quietly trying not to wake Spike or the baby.

"By the way... me and the guys were just wondering." Buffy started to ask. "How is Spike going to breast feed?"

"She drinks blood, she can feed off of me or Spike as soon as her fangs grow in. Until then we will have to open wounds for her." Angel said not taking his eyes off the baby.

"How'd you know that?"

"Had a dream a few nights back. One of the Powers told me how to take care of her. Spike had the same dream so he knows what to do too."

"Oh." Buffy said quietly. "Also the doctor asked about the tattoo on her back. I told her it was just a weird birth mark." She pointed to the mark on the baby's back. It was a black column of weird writing that went from the top of her neck where her neck met her short dark hair to the base of her back.

"Sacred vampire language, only the masters know it. Marks a holy child among vampires." Angel said starting to rock the baby gently.

"Okay. Well I'll just leave you guys alone." She turned and walked out the door.

When she was gone Angel walked back to the bedroom and woke Spike, against the better judgment. "What?" Spike asked sleepily.

"Someone wants to see you." Angel smiled. Spike rolled over, sat up and took the baby from Angel.

"Hello Alex." Spike cooed to the sleeping baby. "I don't really remember much. Did we make it out to the garden?" He asked Angel.

"Yes." Angel said kissing Spike on the cheek. "Alex was born under the blood red moon of the lunar eclipse surrounded by Jasmine, on October thirty first at
eleven fifty nine P.M."

"One minute later and it would have been November." Spike smiled down at the baby.

"Ya well the Powers like to cut it close." Angel shrugged.

"Guess so." Spike smiled weakly. The baby started to wake then she began to cry. "Looks like someone's hungry."

"I'll feed her. You're to tired to lose any blood." Angel said vamping and biting his wrist. He then grabbed a bottle and began to siphon his blood off into it. Angel handed the bottle to Spike who began to feed the baby. When she was done eating Angel put her in the crib and she soon fell asleep.

The next day everyone stayed away from Angel and Spike's room to give them time alone with Alex and each other. Later that night Angel and Spike walked down to the lobby with the baby, everyone was sitting there watching a movie or playing Monopoly. Spike who hadn't been out of the room in months, except to have the baby, was greeted with smiles from everyone, even Robin.

Once everyone had a turn holding the baby she was put in the basinet in the office. "Angel, Spike." Giles said standing up from his seat and switching off the T.V. "
Willow, Kennedy, Andrew and myself will be returning to England soon. We will visit often." He said reassuringly. "Anyways some of the others wish to stay here in L.A. with you."

"
England was getting kinda old." Faith shrugged.

"Ya and I've been offered a job as principal of a school here so, this would be as good a place as any to live." Robin added.

"Not here though, we'll get an apartment a few blocks away." Faith smiled.

"I took the liberty of lining up an apartment for me and Dawn in the building down the block." Buffy said, combing her hand through Dawn's hair.

"I got one in the same building." Xander added with a goofy grin. "And apparently my reputation precedes me because I've already got a few job offers working for the city construction guys in the short two weeks that I've been here."

"When Dawn's done with school she can come and woke here with me and Faith, that is of coarse, if you could give us jobs." Buffy smiled sheepishly.

"It really figures." Spike sighed. "I spend all these years trying to get away from you people and now yer movin' to my city!"

"Your city?" Angel growled. "I was here before any of you and I mean back in the fifties."

"Well to bad for you!" Buffy said sarcastically. "We're staying and helping you raise Alex weather you like it or not."

"It's settled then, we're staying." Robin smiled. The room erupted into happy chatter and they started Spike's long over due baby shower.

Fin

Ta da! It's my first mpreg so be kind. Also just pretend that everyone knows each other you know because they were living together taking care of Spike and they became sort of friends bla bla bla. Oh and the school Robin got a job at was Buffy's old high school from before she came to Sunnydale, I don't know how to spell it so I just said a school. I'm going to write a sequel when Alex is growing up so expect that soon. R&R please!
