He was just finishing up with the nets and was about to go to the bell dock to help Jakera with the dolphins when he sees the holder waving to him. Not sure what it was about he runs to him. �Yes sir?� he says when he reaches him. �Come with me.� the holder orders. Not saying anything he follows him into the hold. Soon they come to the holders� office and walk inside. Inside sitting in a chair sipping a cup of klah is the dragon rider who arrived earlier. Not willing to get his hopes up he sits in the seat the holder waves to. �Now,� he says taking a seat on the other side of his desk, �Tanelar, this is Nagie a rider from Seiryuu. You know what that is of course?� He just nods his head. �Right, now apparently she would like to take you to the weyr to give you a chance at impressing the clutch. Of course it�s your own chose.� He says looking at him as if trying to tell him something. Almost speechless, �You mean,� he says not quite able to finish his sentence. �Yes.� Nagie says trying to hid a smile. �I leave this afternoon. There are a few others I need to talk to so you have time to think about it and get yourself situated before you leave.� She tells him. �You can go now.� The holder tells him sounding slightly disappointed.
Leaving the office he can�t believe what has just happened. When he gets out of the weyr, �Whaahoo.� He hollers, making others look up to see what was going on. Taking off he runs to the bell dock where he meets Jakera. �What�s made you so happy?� she asks when she sees his face. �You know the rider that came in earlier?� he asks catching his breath. �Yeah.� She answers haven lost some of the dolphins that had gone to go play with it. �Well, I was searched. I get to go to Seiryuu.� He says excitedly. �Congratulations.� She says meaning it. �Thanks.� �When do you leave?� she asks. �This after noon.� He answers. �Good that means you have time for one more swim before you go. I�m sure Agua will want to know that your leaving.� She says throwing a water suit at him. �Yeah.� And he runs to the boathouse to change.
Slipping into the water he�s instantly surrounded by dolphins. �Hay.� He says trying to rub all of them at once and failing. �Ta�lar.� He hears. Turning his head Agua is looking at him. �Hay.� He says scratching under the dolphins chin. �I got good news buddy.� He says to the dolphin, �I was searched today. I get to go to the weyr.� �Your going?� the dolphin asks. �Yeah, but just for a little while.� He reassures. �Good, you come back and we play again.� The dolphin says splashing him. He can�t help but laugh at the dolphin. Grabbing on to Aguas� fin the dolphin takes off dragging the boy behind him.

That afternoon he climbs up on the dragons back, saying goodbye to those who had come to see him off. Already mounted is a girl. Sitting behind her he smiles as they take off.
After a short trip between they pop out over the weyr. He catches his breath at the site.
Coming in for a landing there is a woman waiting on the ground. Landing next to her Nagie helps the two off the dragons. �You got them Reca?� Nagie asks the woman. �Yes, go on.� The woman tells her. Taking off the two slowly fly to the top of the bowl before disappearing.
�Alright,� the woman says almost sharply, �The weyr barracks are over there.� She says pointing, �You can put your belongings there. We�ll be starting dinner soon. So you can get something to eat.� She says pointing the way. �If you have any questions don�t worry about asking.� �Yes ma�am.� He says giving her a nod. Looking at her closer real quick he notices her eyes. Realizing that she�s blind he just moves on his way not wanting to offend her by saying anything. Looking over his shoulder he watches as she makes her way into the lower caverns.
After getting himself settled in he looks over at the girl who came in with him. �What�s your name?� he asks recognizing her but not able to think of who she is. �Tamion.� She answers bluntly. �Nice to meet you. I�m Tanelar.� He says offering his hand. �I know who you are.� She says continuing to unpack. Seeing that she doesn�t want to talk he leaves her alone.
That night at dinner he looks around and sees Tamion sitting by herself. Walking over, �Do you mind if I sit here?� he asks pointing at the seat across from her. She just shrugs her shoulders. �Thanks.� He says sitting down. He tries to stir up conversation but like earlier she doesn�t seem to want to talk so he leaves her alone after a few failed questions intending to start conversation.
After dinner they both put there dishes away and leave the dinning hall. �So,� he tries asking, �You want to go exploring with me?� he asks not wanting to walk around alone. �Sure.� She answers unexpectedly. �Really?� he asks not thinking. �I said I would.� She snaps. �Sorry.� He says and then keeps quiet.

While looking around they come to a room with an open door leading into an office. Looking inside there is a woman sitting at a desk. �Come in come in.� she says not looking up from the papers she�s writing on. They walk in the office not sure what she wants. Looking up from her papers she frowns, �You aren�t who I was expecting.� She states. They just stare at her blankly. �Well you can go.� She says waving them off.
At that time near the hearth, the two eggs left in the makeshift nest start to rock, seeing it out of the corner of his eye he goes over to look. �Hay, I think your eggs are hatching.� He says to the woman. �There what?� she says getting out of her seat. �Oh, dear.� She says. Running over to a table she pulls up a pile of raw meat. �Ether of you two interested in a Chibi?� she asks. They both just look at her, �A what?� he asks. �A Chibi, a kind of fire lizard.� She clarifies. They both nod there heads, �Good now come over here and take some of this.� She says pointing to the meat. Shrugging their shoulders they walk over to the platter and start chopping up pieces of meat. It�s not to long before the eggs hatch and a small green lizard fall out of the shell in front of him. Putting a piece of meat in front of it the little creature devours it. After swallowing the meat the Chibi looks up at him. �Yes, I have some more.� He says laughing. "Now what am I going to call you?" he asks himself while watching the creature eat. "I think I'll name you Havel." he says. The little lizard chips at him. "Havel it is then." and he finishes feeding him. When they're done feeding them the woman sends them back to their barracks.
On the day of the hatching he had to drop everything he was doing and rush out to the hatching sands, to take his place in the circle surrounding the eggs. At first he was fine, facing the hatching with the same cheerfulness that he did everything else. But as the hatching wore on he started becoming nervous and the heat from the sands was making him bounce from foot to foot as it penetrated his shoes. He watched as Tamion walked off the sands with her green, taking some reassurance in the smile she gave him.
Turning back to the sands, he watches as a big blue brake out of its shell. �You are mine,� the blue says looking at him, �I am Watenth, Now lets eat,� he says making his way off the sands on his own, making T�lar chase after him.
