She was just finishing up with the net, and was about to go to the docks to see the dragon when the holder walked in and headed strait for her. �I didn�t do it.� she says before he even opens his mouth. �Come with me.� the holder orders ignoring her protest. Not saying anything she follows him to his office and walks inside. Inside sitting in a chair sipping a cup of klah is the dragon rider who arrived earlier. Not willing to get her hopes up she sits in the seat the holder waves to. �Now,� he says taking a seat on the other side of his desk, �Tamion, this is Nagie a rider from Seiryuu. You know where that is of course?� She just nods her head. �Right, now apparently she would like to take you to the weyr to give you a chance at impressing the clutch. Though why she would I hardly know.� He says looking at her hard. Almost speechless she just looks at the Dragonrider for confirmation, �You mean, I get to leave.� she says, not believing her ears. �Yes.� Nagie says trying to hide a smile. �I leave this afternoon. There are a few others I need to talk to so you have time to think about it and get yourself situated before you leave.� She tells her. �You can go now.� The holder tells her sounding almost happy.
Leaving the office she can�t believe what has just happened. When she gets out of the hall she pumps her fist and yells in triumph. Going to her room she quickly starts packing her few belongings. �I�m out of here.� She says to herself looking around to make sure she hasn�t forgotten anything. �And I�ll be dammed if I�m ever coming back.� She says throwing some more of her cloths in a bag. �No more fish, no more nets, no more lines, and especially no more fish.� she emphasizes again.

That afternoon she climbs up on the dragon�s back, no one caring if she leaves. A boy she knows named Tanelar climbs up behind her. She�s more then surprised to see him here, many considered him the kind that would live and die here. From what she knew he loved this life. But after listening to him for a bit she realizes that he actually intends to come back. Shaking her head she grabs on as the dragon takes off. After a short trip between they pop out over the weyr. She catches her breath at the site of the dragon shaped weyr.
Coming in for a landing there is a woman waiting on the ground. Landing next to her, Nagie helps the two off the dragon. �You got them Reca?� Nagie asks the woman. �Yes, go on.� The woman tells her. Taking off the two slowly fly to the top of the bowl before disappearing.
�Alright,� the woman says almost sharply, �The weyr barracks are over there.� She says pointing, �You can put your belongings there. We�ll be starting dinner soon. So you can get something to eat.� She says pointing the way. �If you have any questions don�t worry about asking.� �Yes ma�am.� Tanelar says giving her a nod. Nodding her head as well she looks at the woman�s face and sees the pair of pale blue eyes. Not saying anything she picks up her bag and walks in the direction that she pointed.
While getting herself settled in Tanelar pips up. �What�s your name?� he asks. Not believing this, �Tamion.� She answers bluntly. �Nice to meet you. I�m Tanelar.� He says offering his hand. �I know who you are.� She says continuing to unpack. He leaves her alone after that.
That night at dinner she found a table where she could sit by herself. �Do you mind if I sit here?� she hears a voice ask. Looking up she sees Tanelar pointing at the seat in front of her. She just shrugs her shoulders. �Thanks.� He says sitting down. He tries to stir up conversation but like earlier she only gives him short answers. He leaves her alone after a few failed questions intending to start conversation.
After dinner they both put there dishes away and leave the dinning hall. �So,� he tries asking, �You want to go exploring with me?� he asks. �Sure.� She answers kind of surprising herself. She didn�t really want company especially from this sea boy. �Really?� he asks not thinking. �I said I would.� She snaps. �Sorry.� He says and then keeps quiet.

While looking around they come to a room with an open door leading into an office. Looking inside there is a woman sitting at a desk. �Come in come in.� she says not looking up from the papers she�s writing on. They walk in the office not sure what she wants. Looking up from her papers she frowns, �You aren�t who I was expecting.� She states. They just stare at her blankly. �Well you can go.� She says waving them off.
At that time Tanelar walks over to the hearth on the other side of the wall. �Hay, I think your eggs are hatching.� He says to the woman. �There what?� she says getting out of her seat. �Oh, dear.� She says. Running over to a table she pulls up a pile of raw meat. �Ether of you two interested in a Chibi?� she asks. They both just look at her, �A what?� Tanelar asks. �A Chibi, a kind of fire lizard.� She clarifies. They both nod there heads, �Good now come over here and take some of this.� She says pointing to the meat. Shrugging their shoulders they walk over to the platter and start chopping up pieces of meat. It�s not to long before the eggs hatch and a small blue lizard falls out of the shell in front of her. Putting a piece of meat in front of it the little creature devours it. After swallowing the meat the Chibi looks up at her. �Here.� She says putting another piece of meat in front of her. "Now what am I going to call you?" she thinks to herself while watching the creature eat. "I think I'll name you Teveler." she thinks to it. The little lizard chips at her. "Teveler it is then." and she thinks and finishes feeding him. When they're done feeding them the woman sends them back to their barracks.
On the day of the hatching, she had to drop everything she was doing and rush out to the sands, and take her place in the circle around the eggs. As the hatchlings broke out of their shells, Tamion rung her hands nervously, praying that she would be chosen. She had left everything behind when she came here, it would be a complete embarrassment if she had to go back because she didn't impress. "You will never have to go back mine." she hears in her head. Looking around she sees a delicate green headed her way, and walking over, she kneels next to the dragon, "My names, Karinth," the dragon informs her, "can we go eat now." Smiling at the eagerness in her bonds voice, "Of course." and she leads her new bond off the sands, giving a reasuring look to Tanelar before dissappearing.
