A storm picked up one night, and he had his work cut out for him just trying to keep it afloat. So he had no idea where he was when the storm finally stopped. At least there was land in sight. Sailing toward it, he could only hope that there was a port near by where he could find out where he was.
Apparently luck was on his side, for a little to the east was a port town. He had never seen it before, which surprised him a little, but he needed to get on shore. Pulling in, he found that there was no fee collector on port asking for the docking fee. But after walking through the port he quickly found out that this was his kind of place, a pirate hideaway.
"Hay, buddy." he heard whispered. Turning around he saw a small man dressed in rags. "What do you want?" he scolds. "Got something to show you." doubting it would be of much interest he went over anyway. "These little guys," pulling two eggs out from somewhere inside his rages. "Sell'um for a good price." "Please, if I want eggs I'll get a chicken." he says, even though there size and strange color did perk his interest. "These aren't eggs you eat. They have little critters inside them that you may find interesting." "And what's in it for you?" "Like I said, I'll sell them for a good price, which can mean anything considering I'm the only one that has them." "Are you now? What do you ask for them?" he asks giving warning. "What do ya have?" the man corks his eyebrow. "This should be enough?" he says, pulling some gems from his pocket. "Eye, that is quite enough." The man says his eyes sparking at the sight of them, he quickly hands the two eggs over and takes the gems shoving them in a pocket..
"Now since I've paid such a generous price, you can tell me something. Where am I?" Crow asks innocently. "You got here; not knowing where you were going." The man asks his eyes perked. "Got stuck in a storm." He admits pointing out to sea. "This not be the wrong place for you by chance?" the man asks interested. "No, this is the right place for me. Just don't know how I got here." He says putting a warning in those words. "Well, you be on Thieves Isle. Only name we bothered to give it."
Thinking about it for a second he realizes he's never heard of this place before. Which surprises him. Going on this realization, he figures he must have been thrown through one of the portals that had popped up all over the place in the storm. "All right." moving in closer. "Now how do I get back?" he asks a warning in his voice about what would happen if given the wrong answer. "Well, if you got here the way I think you might have. Ye go north that way a little, and there be a strange warily white thing. Some people have come here say'en they come through there." the man tells him panicked, finally realizing what kind of man he's gotten himself involved with "I see, then I'll head that way." Getting up he leaves the man sitting there looking after him, knowing it would be a while before he found out that the gems he gave him were fake.
Having the information he needed, he had no reason to linger. Heading back to his ship he knew he would have to remember this place. Casting off he headed north to find the portal.
It took not even a full day to reach the portal, and there it stood just like the man said. "Well, time to head back." Heading strait at it he goes through and finds himself at sea in the night. Heading east again he stops to go check on the eggs.
"Soon we'll see how much trouble, you two are worth." but he spoke too soon, for one of them started to rock. "All right, maybe sooner then I thought." grabbing his blanket, he rapped it around the eggs. Then his stomach rumbled. Not knowing anything else to do he grabs a fishing pole and sets about catching his dinner. He had caught five fish by the time he hard a screeching behind him. Turning he sees that one of the eggs have hatched and a small hatchling was searching about for food. Grabbing one of the fish he cuts it apart feeding small bits to the hatchling.
And sure enough the other one hatched soon after.
He lost some of his catch to the little creaters, but had quite enough to sedate his hunger.

Over the next few days the little ones grew quickly

Watching them one day bored. "I supposs I should give you two names." he thinks absently. Looking at them and thinking. "Alright, you." pointing at the black one. "You'll be Void and you." pointing at the other one. "You'll be Aqua." they both chirp in response."Well, now that thats setteled." they continue on there way.
