Finding Neverland
This movie was an excellent movie. It's the story of J.M. Barrie, the writer of Peter Pan. Barrie was a famous playwright. In this movie, you learn how he came to write the story of Peter Pan. He gets the story idea from a widowed mother and her four boys. Their names are Peter, George, Micheal, and Jack.  He spends hours and hours with this family. Keeping a journal of what happens when he's with this family. His wife in the end leaves him because of the amount of time he spends with this family. This family inspired him to write the play. Barrie takes each member of this family and turns them into a character. When he discovers that the mother is dying, he finds a way to show her Neverland. The mother sees Neverland when Barrie holds the play in her living room.  We learn the Peter Pan was one of Barrie's most successful plays.
From this movie, I learned that pretending can't make everything go away. The mother of the four boys, knows she is ill. She pretends that everything is ok by not admitting that there is a problem. Towards the end of the movie she admits to everyone that she is ill. Barrie also is a victim of pretending. He acts as though everything in his marriage is fine. But in the end, she leaves him because there's nothing in their marriage. Pretending that everything is ok, isn't a good plan because it often makes things worse.
