De-Lovely
De-Lovely is an original musical portrait of American composer Cole Porter and his wife, Linda. The part of Cole Porter is played Kevin Kline.  Linda Porter is played by Ashley Judd.  In the film, Porter is looking back on his life as if it was a stage show, with the people and events of his life becoming the actors. Porter is shown his entire life starting with when he met his wife up until his death. When being shown his life I believe he's on his death bed.  Even his relationship with his wife is brought out into the open. You see his struggle with finding happiness and how he hurts everyone near him. Cole even stops the show to recap on certain events.  Most of his songs were inspired by his wife.  You see the many problems Cole Porter encountered in his life.
From this movie, I learned not being honest with the people you love it will cause a lot of damage. Cole Porter doesn't tell his wife the whole truth about his life outside their house. Cole did not tell his wife about his gay relationships.  In the movie, you see he has a homosexual side and is not very ashamed of it. Linda asks Cole to be secretive with his "relationships" to keep the press from finding out about his love affairs.  This causes them to separate for a short while. But their love prevails. I learned that I should be honest with everyone in my life.
