Meet Chewbacca, or Chewie or Chewbie. He was with us September 4 - 30, 1998. He was a good dog but very nervous and hard to control. When on his hind legs, he was as tall as Jay (5'7")! He was also, so far, the smartest dog we have ever had. He was returned to the shelter and we know he went through training. Our hope for him is that he is with a family who can appreciate him.
We were told that Chewie was a mix of Rottweiler and German Shepherd. However, we suspect he was mainly Doberman. His ears were intact but his tail was docked before we got him.
