GEOGRAPHY
  Search for the population, geographical characteristics, customs, Capital, state flower, state bird of each state you cross in your travel.
     Draw a map of the states you drive in and the route you take. Use a
road map for this activity.
     Look for information about the latitude and longitude of different constellations  from different cities at the exact time.
You can e-mail a friend from other state and carry out this project. You would agree to take the coordenates of an specific constellation at the same time. Then you would exchange information.
     Follow
the weather report to avoid unpleasant storms and have a marvelous journey.
SOCIAL STUDIES
    Find out the importance of route 66 and other interstates highways in the 30's.
     
       "The Hitchhiker" and other stories of suspense and horror were broadcast by radio. Look for information about the importance of
the radio at that time.
MATHEMATICS
Use a current road map of the United States to calculate the mileage from your startting point to California, using the most direct route. Driving at 60 m.p.h. for 8 hours a day, how long will it take you to reach your destination?
OTHER ACTIVITIES
   Meanwhile  you are driving watch out for the traffic and  the traffic signs. Write about what they mean and their importances....OH!!! ...Remember to buckle up. We don't want this ...
