My Customized '94 Ford Splash SuperCab 4x4 after her little accident.
It sorrows me to report that Nellie (that's my truck for those of you not in the know) is no longer with us. She expired in a tragic accident on Friday, October 26 at approximately 7:00 pm. Nellie will be missed as she's been with me for quite some time and has always lived up to my every expectation .... *sheds a tear*.
On the day this tragic accident transpired, Nellie and I were traveling north on Rt. 8 coming out of Butler near the Clearview Mall when a careless driver crossed into our lane of travel (this would be the blue car in the following pics). Nellie and this car, a Buick Park Avenue, hit head on and Nellie was thrown into the air, landing on her passenger side on the hood of a car waiting to enter Rt. 8 from a road on the right (this would be the white car in the following pics). Nellie then slid on her side over the curb and into Wendy's parking lot, coming to rest on her roof and passenger side with yours truly trapped inside for nearly an hour and a half before emergency personnel were forced to cut the roof off of Nellie.
Throughout this ordeal, Nellie protected me in superb fashion. I am relatively uninjured and thanking my lucky stars that this incident wasn't any worse than it was.
