MIFIZI

There is the great Migizi (Eagle) soring high among the skies... For the sky is his domain... much like the earth is ours.. or the water is to the swimmers... Suddenly Migizi felt a great pain in his body .. No longer were the cloud people his company. Migizi sight dimished and he lost consciousness

Migizi woke up to a kind voice.. Ohhh what have we hear..it said don't be afraid ....Yet Migizi was afraid...never had migizi been so close to a Human...Poor thing it said.....your hurt Migizi looked at these giant hands and saw them as Claws and of course he reacted like any one else would Defensively Ouch Ouch... migizi felt the pain soar through his body as he made movement to defend and ward off the strange claws coming at him Well the human continued to talk in a soothing calm manner...Don't be afraid... Your wounded and I am gonna help you.. come on Relax little one, yet to Migizi his language was gibberish ...... blah blah blah blah blah blah And the human would smile at migizi.... Now this truly scared him... Those teeth mean danger ... like when the wolf brother or bear shows teeth.. it means trouble and displays anger... Migizi tried to escape however the strange pain prevented any movements He was for the first time defenseless. Then everything went dark yet he was unharmed and felt his body lifted up...Ohhhh your gonna be fine the human continued to talk to the eagle as he carried him wrapped up in a blanket he brought from his car... The human brought the Eagle home...

His wife asked him what is going on... what strange thing you got there .... ?she asked Honey .... I was checking the fields and heard this loud boom... I figured someone was hunting deer again on our farm land... So I went out to check it
out.... Then I saw these young boys from town running towards this ... he pointed toward the bundle..Well lets see it ... She asked impatiently and excitedly. The light of the grandfather sun returned to migizi eyes and he blinked around ....nothing was familiar to migizi and this startled him alot
What is the meaning of this ... Geez honey .... Your a farmer .. not a vet....!!!!!
what are you going to do with it know? she asked The old farmer thought about it and put him in the Chicken house...

So here is migizi .... looking at all these chickens and totally powerless to do anything but watch them .   Everyday the farmer checked on migizi and changed the bandage that he applied...And returned to his farming duties...
Now migizi sat with these chickens for a long time watching....learning .....and still very defensless...and vulnerableAfter all the time this migizi Started to copy the movements and ways of the chickens.,

He ate when the chickens ate and he copied there movements as best he could... Migizi Said to himself...mmmmmm if thats the way they act so will I... He
Slept how they did,, he ate like they did,, he even walked the way they did... If they had rest time so did he.. The eagle began to shapeshift.... however he still looked like an eagle...he copied them so well that even the chickens didn't take notice of his appearance anymore.. he was one of them now..

Many moons passed and this nishnabe (native guy) came to visit the farmer for eggs...He checked out the chickens and eggs for inspection and up in one of the roosting nest he noticed something out of place.. Heck there was Migizi.....
sitting like a chicken Hey what is happpening here the nishnabe asked the farmer.. The farmer said .. what do you mean? Are my eggs no to your liking.. They are very good ones this round .. I gaurentee it No no not the eggs .. the eggs look great. however there is an eagle here... what is it doing here? Ohh that old guy... Yeah... some of the kids from town got a gun and was testing it out.. they spotted the eagle I figure and shot it .. I got there and scared them off then I see this old guy (eagle ) ..wounded and hurt..So I put him in here.... with the chickens...
