        Solomon's will was filed on November 20, 1878. Reuben, his oldest son, was named executor. His wife, Elizabeth signed renunciation papers. The witnesses were N.H. and Peter Kemmerer, most likely brothers to his wife. A bond was filed on November 20, 1878 for $2,500.00 to $5,000.00.

        Reuben filed an invetory on November 26, 1878. The appraisers were Peter Uhler and Franklin Shimer. Promissory notes outstanding were:

        Balance of note of Klump-$55, and Reuben-$500, for a total of $3,455.00.
        Sundry items: 4 horses-$350, harness-$38, 1 horse rake-$15, 1 grain drill-$35, thrashing machine and horsepower-$35, 1 corn sheller-$9, 2 harrows-$3.50, 3 plows-$4, 2 horse wagons and 1 body-$45, and grain in ground and in mow-$600, for a total of $5,272.25.
        Reuben filed his final account on April 8, 1880. Income: from oats, wheat, corn, rye, beef, etc.-$1,000 plus, receipts from public sale-$755.95
