Nathaniel was a Magistrated in Polk Township, Monroe County for 36 years. He was the son of Quinton and Levina Frantz Gruber. He was a member of the Salem united Church of Christ, in Gilbert, and the POS of A Lodge, in Kresgeville. Edith passed away seven days after her husband while visiting her daughter, Pearl Moll. Edith and Nathaniel had one child:
