Attention fellow MHS 1958 Grads

The 45th reunion is now just a memory

It was great to see so many classmates that have not been back for awhile.

The reunion started out on Friday Night at the Vikings Club. A few members attended the Steak Fry that the Vikings have once a month on Friday. The Friday night mixer then started in the lower level room with free beer, snacks, and 50's music. Old friends were reminiscing about old times and catching up on their life after High School. It didn't matter if your group was in the band, sports, fine arts, etc. because everyone was a MHS 58 graduate and many new friendships were made.

It didn't matter if your group was in the band, sports, fine arts, etc. everyone was a MHS 58 graduate and many new friendships made.





Saturday night started out with a visit from the John Deere Jr. High band to play the MHS fight song "Marooners". For the classmates that have not been to a MHS sports event since High School it brought back many memories.








Jon Melin 45th Reunion Chairman gave the opening address and Joe Ewart also gave some words of wisdom. Jack Dye (former MHS teacher) gave the keyote address.








Teachers from our days at MHS were invited to join us for our 45th reunion. Those accepting were Jack Dye, Gene Shipley, Ed Lemon, Lee McCallister, and Kathleen Curry. Although Jack Coder was unable to stay for the dinner he did come for a few minutes to say Hi.




Sue Olson Wakefield created a slide presentation with music to show that night. For those who didn't see the presentation, it consisted of classmates’ pictures (High School, post High School, and present). Thanks, Sue, for an insight of how we were then and how we are now

After a buffet dinner and a special treat of our own "Whitey's Ice Cream" the Saturday night fun began. With the backround music of karaoke many class members tried their skill at singing, while many danced to the tunes played by the deejay. Conversation, drink, and entertainment was the theme for the night. The 45th reunion committee wants to extend a BIG THANKS to all who attended and made this a weekend to remember. If you thought this reunion was good, wait until you see what is in store for the 50th. Classmates who attended the reunion and those that were unable to attend, we hope to see you in 2008 for the 50th Class Reunion. Just remember "We’re from the Old School" (that is, the last class from Old High School).
