LINKS

You have found the links page.
Here are some recommended sites which are either of interest, or whose authors have been kind enough to mention the Jersey Buses Web Site, and / or provide a link to these pages.

The Bus Station

RECOMMENDED
By Steve Annells.
The Bus Station now features well over two thousand (yes 2000) links to related sites, not just in the UK, but all around the world too. Definitely the best site for bus web site links. If you can't find it from here, you won't find it elsewhere, and it won't be worth looking for!

The Scottish Bus Site

By Andrew Gronneberg. Going by the name, it is not too difficult to guess the content of the Scottish Bus Site. Pictures from north of the border as well as comprehensive news and a fascination with the Ailsa, also a chatroom.

The UK Bus Site

By Wendy Conway. The UK Bus Site features travel information with a list of official operators, and a visit to a different area each month. One of the better transport sites on the Web. There is a large page of links too, and it's colourful with lots of pictures.

Bus Spotter

A useful site, is Bus Spotter, with downloadable fleet lists in .zip format for most major operators in the British Isles. For those of you who only look for the pictures there's photographs too.

The Oxford Bus Site

By Malcolm Crowe. A nicely-presented website, the Oxford Bus Site is "bursting with buses". Plenty of pictures and up-to-date information on all the local operators.

Ian's Bus Stop

Superb site. "The Bus Stop is a not too serious web-site about London Transport buses, mainly in the 1930-1970 era." Very nice presentation, lots of photos and graphic drawings, mountains of info and of course, as it's London, some cool 1960s rear-engined stuff.

SouthBus (formerly Southern Transport) (formerly PhotoBus)

By Nigel Chatfield. Better be nice about SouthBus, as that way, it is a dead cert you can earn yourself a link from it! Quite liked the presentation but that's where the licking ends.

Transport Online Photos

By Keith Spink. T.O.P. is a rare transport site in that it features a selection of photographs from the Channel Islands. Admittedly the graphics are of a low resolution, but they do load rapidly and giving a reasonable image of the vehicles depicted. Has hundreds of other photos too!

Busweb.co.uk

Distinct from Busweb.com (below). There's a lot of links on Busweb UK, as well as a notice board, and offers of web page hosting and e-mail addresses on the busweb server.

Busweb.com

Distinct from Busweb.co.uk (above). Based in Europe, Busweb.com, has lots of links too, most of which seem to be to UK sites. Also, European travel information and industry directories.

Pete's Travel

By Geoff Cross. Pete's Travel is the now-official site of this West Midlands operator, with photos and links to other web sites by the same author.

FirstGroup Enthusiasts

By John Hammond. None of the British "mega-groups" have shown any interest in operating on Jersey, probably due to the obscure licensing system or something. But elsewhere in the country the chances are FirstGroup will be operating not too far away, being the largest of the groups. John who maintains the FGE site has a Fiesta Ghia as well, which appeals almost as much as First's corporate colours. (ie. a good thing!)

Guernsey Transport Pages

By Kati Lindberg. Guess the "other island" had to provide its own web site! Have a look at how size restrictions have prompted Guernsey operators to take a slightly different route (no pun intended) from their Jersey counterparts.

ETG on the NET

Edinburgh Transport Group is in the process of reviewing its presence on the Web. A link to a forthcoming new site will appear here soon.

Jersey Tourism logo

Jersey Tourism

By, er, the States of Jersey. Now that you've seen some of the truly fascinating machinery used to transport residents and visitors alike around the island, you will all be wanting to visit the place to see the vehicles for yourself. Oh, and the less significant attractions of outstanding natural beauty etc. Still, suppose they should have a bit of a plug. Info on getting around the island too.

British Bus Web Ring

British Bus Web Ring

Uniting the web sites of enthusiasts, companies and the authorities, the British Bus Web Ring sounded like a good idea. Easily the quickest way to wander around the best transport-related sites on the Internet. Click on the picture to the left to link through to the Web Ring.

Andrew Gronneberg (Scottish Bus Site): I've seen it all now - a page devoted to a van???"
