Two of Pioneers swift buses have been repainted into blue coach colours and have been seen recently in use on school routes only. The new fleet numbers are 70/71 when I have got the J plate numbers I will pass on.I think that they will use the higer number
which the Bedfords that they have scrapped used to have.

New Tantivy fleet news is:Pioneer 4 has been sprayed blue and is fleet no 61, Pioneers masters have the fleet numbers 130,131,132, the Toyota hiaces 133,134,135.Pioneer 5 has got a new J plate something like J88078.The Pioneer minibus fleet is being used
uite a lot which is surprising considering when Tantivy took over Mascot nothing was allowed on the road untill it was repainted into the proper fleet colours. The only swift of Pioneers which at the moment is being used is old 18. It will be interesting i
the summer to see which have been scrapped and the new fleet numbers

All at the JMT is still in th air. Mr Eden has still got the La Collette site. and the lease on the old Mascot motors shed will soon be up, and their are plans for redevelopment. So lack of space might cutting back on the fleet. Classic coaches should be
unning again next year. At present none of the old Pionner busses are to join the JMT fleet. and Mick Eden has plans for a new enterprise.

fleet news is that 38,53 and 55 are all now taken up by the importing of the IOM Darts.Tantivy are now starting to service and strip Pioneers coache numbers and names and will start to repaint soon. They will all need new PSV plates because Eaden has stil
got an operators licence.I think taht this will mean that Tantivys fleet will now have to be renumbered if they are to keep newest vehicles lowest fleet number.Rumers are that Lewis has made a bid for Waverley as well.

Pioneers new LCB Islander no5 has J491 no3 having been re regestered. The bread van was sold at Glencoe along with the sherpa which is now in red at the drive in BBQ at Gorey along with ex Pioneer no2 with tables and chairs in it the bread van is now in a
ll over yellow with a black skirt. JMT 14 has been sold to be converted into a carrier for a unimog, Tantivy had recently sold coach 57 to him for this job but as it was a Tantivy coach it did its usual thing and it was underpowered and the engine blew u
hence aquiring JMT 14 which fleet no is now an IOM Dart.

Found your site a couple of weeks ago - just before this year's visit. Having just returned this evening, we were able to check on some of the numbers we took a note of and get their details. Find it all extremely fascinating and just hope you are able to
keep it up to date and perhaps expand. It will be interesting to know when the I.o.M. bus parked at the Weighbridge joins the fleet. Is it true that some of the "old crocks" HAVE to be retained because the Darts' wheelbase is too long for some of the rout
s? "More power to your elbow"!

Waverley have now moved into their new depot. It is the luxicabs depot opposite the hospital. They still have coaches down at the pub near Bel Royal School. Surprize find in Jersey when I was driving(7/4/00) was the find of the long wheel base Bedford of
mperial Coaches which is still in good condition with livery all intact. The J reg is J57366 and it had a 1992 tax disc in the window which I assume was when it was last on the road. Tantivy 58 looks like it is having a rear axle replacement.

Waverlys depot is now being demolished. The hire cars part where Viceroy used to be on the Esplanade has now gone. The coaches which are the Bedfords are parked at the British Union pub opposite Bel Royal school.

Hello Jersey. I was the guilty party that located RT4045 for Pioneer back in 1993, and soon after the Wadham Stringer bodied Swifts from W&H and Gatwick Parking. Great to see it all on the web!
We have a TRAVEL TERMINUS section on ur site at www.dogznutz.com, and we're keen to here from any operators that would like an "official" link. If so please send details and a gif logo by e-mail.
Keep up the good work - John

Just to let you know that petrol coach 46 is to have a factory recon diesel engine like B.C's 53.
the Iveco is having its wheels painted cream because the driver keeps on knocking off the chrome wheel trims.

Nice site. What a pity you don't give chassis & body numbers on your otherwise excellent fleet lists. May I recommend our 2JP100 Preserved Buses book where 19 ex Jersey Vehicles are listed. E mail me for more info.

Just thought I'd have a nostalgic trip back to the early seventies, holidaying as a
young lad and I thought there would be a few pictures of those beautiful old 50s/60s Tantivy
coaches which used to stick out from those improvised shopfront booking stations on every corner
with a big blackboard advertising the different excursions and nights out. What a disappointment
to see all these square characterless coaches.

I have Pioneer double-deck "Oliver" listed as being numbered 28. As a fairly regular visitor to
Jersey, I have noticed that each bus/coach carries a PSV no. plate.
This is something that you could consider adding to your fleetlists in the future perhaps? Even
without that though, this is a great and interesting site; keep up the good work!

age, and history would be gratefully received. Thanks for your site, from Vancouver Island to
