Classic Coaches is the smallest Jersey operator and also the newest: Classic have run
private hires and "vintage" island tours since the 1995 season. See the Other Operators Vehicle List for details of
Classic's vehicles.
The proprietor used to
run Clarendon Coaches whose activities were curtailed after a garage
fire in the 1980s. Classic's three vehicles are all Bedfords, two
OB coaches which operate private hires and island tours, and a small
prewar country bus with wooden seats which is contracted to the Jersey Museums Service to
provide transport between its sites in summer. All three vehicles have been brought over from
the UK. The prewar bus is in a similar livery to the old Tantivy coaches, while the colours
chosen for the OBs is the inverse of that, ie. cream with maroon relief.
