"Ouch!" Franceska Carver exclaimed when her brother Theo stepped on her foot. "Will you watch where you put those surfboards you call feet?"
"Sorry." Theo muttered.
"What's with you?" Their sister Celeste Donna asked looking up from a computer printout Joe Kiriakis had sent her. "You've been moping around here for days."
"Nothing." Theo answered as he dug into his cereal.
"I bet I know what's bothering him." Franceska said with a grin.
"Do tell Frannie."
"Faith Brady."
"Look I am not upset about Faith Brady." Theo said with a mouth full of cereal.
"Don't talk with your mouth full Theo." Lexie Carver scolded as she came into the kitchen dressed to go to work. "You three are on your own for dinner tonight. Your dad and I have a date."
"So do I. Joe and I are going to the Pub for dinner." Celeste Donna said.
"And I have class and then Kat and I are gonna study." Theo said.
"What about you Frannie?"
"Cleaning out all of Grandma Celeste's stuff from the attic for Goodwill like I promised to do months ago."
"Thank you sweetheart." Lexie said before she grabbed her purse and headed out the door.
"Daddy lay down the law?" Celeste Donna said with a grin.
"Oh yes." Franceska looked at her watch. "Eek! I am gonna be so late. Bye guys." she called as she ran out the door.

"Hello? Anyone home?" Franceska called as she let herself into the Carver homestead. Hearing nothing but silence she began her trek upstairs to the attic. Flipping on the lights as she entered she groaned. There were at least ten boxes of her grandmother's stuff. CD and Mom had already been through them and decided what they did and didn't want and now she was to do the same before Theo lugged them downstairs to his truck and drove them to one of the shelters on the docks.
Taking a breath she knelt down and dove into the first box.

Hours later Franceska had accumalated a nice little pile of stuff she wanted to keep. Her mother and CD hadn't been interested in most of the scarfs and hats so she'd taken a lot of them. Opening the last box she pulled a little bundle wrapped in silk and a cloth bound book. Looking further into the box she saw candles and incense along with some glitter. Franceska raised an eyebrow. Opening the bundle wrapped in silk she was faced with some tarot cards. Setting them aside she opened the book. Her eyes widened in surprise at what she saw written there. Psychic Meditation Spell and under it were directions and words. Mom had always said Grandma was a little into the paranormal. CD just laughed and Theo rolled his eyes but stuff like that had always interested her. Putting the stuff she had collected and the stuff that was in the box back she picked it up and took it down to her room.

After setting up Franceska sat in front the candle stand and picked up the candle. Closing her eyes she chanted,
I set to fire the inner light,
so that I may see with second sight.
So mote it be.
Opening her eyes she lit the candle and put it on the stand. Next she took a handful of glitter and said the next part of the spell,
I empower you to shine the way,
the future I will see today.
Sprinkling the glitter in a circle around the base of the candle she then picked up the incense and said,
Spirits of air, come to me.
Bring me psychic energy.
Franceska lit the incense and stared at the candle flame. After a moment or two a picture of the chem test she'd recently taken came to her. She saw the grade 88% on it and smiled before she cleaned up her supplies.

"Frannie?" Lexi called to her daughter the next morning.
"Yeah Mom?" Franceska looked up from the paper she'd been reading.
"Did you find what you wanted in the attic?"
"Yep. I found everything I wanted."
"Good." Lexi said as she left the kitchen.
"Everything I wanted and more Mom." Franceska smiled as she fingered the end of the scarf she'd found in the attic. "A whole lot more."
