This record of the Peter Unruh Family, so called genealogy, has been written to provide a permanent record of his descendants.

It is a record that goes back to the 17th century and shows how this family from one mentioned above has increased to close to three thousand in number. Those who have knowledge of the various families will also recall how today the descendants are located on many different continents of the world. Also from the one who was a farmer in his day, we find the descendants in various vocations of life and many have achieved public recognition.

The above mentioned facts are true and much space could be used to fill in personal details but may we not stop here and try to balance our own record to see what place we take in the lamp light of this family. May we turn back to see what sacrifices were made by those first few families. It was due to Divine guidance as a fruit of their simple faith in His Word and in Him in Whom we have our eternal destiny that they were willing to make these sacrifices. May it lead us to realize where we stand today. Are we in harmony with His word and are we willing to step out in faith even to the extent of sacrificing comfort and home for the sake of those who will come after us?

As we see our names in this genealogy, may we also be reminded that we should have our name and the names of our family recorded in this genealogy which is the "Lambs Book of Life
