THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN
I've been at it since age four, creating my own piano songs.
I took piano lessons around second grade and guitar around seventh.
I created four albums of beck-style nonsense in middle school
which oddly had the music sheets stolen. A lot of heavier songs
were created in a high school band. In 2000 we disbanded and I learned
of plugging my guitar into my amp into my computer and using ACID software.
My inspirations surrounded grunge as a pre-teen, before realizing they were
for the most part mostly on heroin: Nirvana, Soul Asylum, Alice In Chains,
Stone Temple Pilots, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden.
Industrial came later, such as Nine Inch Nails, Helmet, Stabbing
Westward, Pig, Ministry, Gravity Kills, Tool, and KMFDM. There were
also 90's metal acts in the mix, though I didn't want to make metal.
These included Fear Factory, White Zombie, Type O Negative, Some Pantera,
Old Metallica, and early Marilyn Manson (if he/she counts).
For further explanations of where I went from here, see "My History
In Music Composition" under the "About" tab.
