NEW GAMES

Doom 2016 Official Why play Doom 3 (ever) when you can just start fresh with a new reboot? This game was AWESOME and snapmap makes for months of entertainment by other authors, then you make your own. Or you do that first, who needs a preference!

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus This game looks very promising. I'm biased because I love id Software and try out everything they ever do, but Wolfenstein: New Order had quite a few suprises, including the legacy edition of the 1992 levels hidden in various parts of the game, just like the new Doom 2016 did in their levels later on.

Quake Champions I don't know much about this one other than the trailers, but I hope there's a descent single player campaign in this remake of Quake/Quake Arena (if that is what this actually is)

Indie Game Database from the hosts of Mod Database (moddb.com) and SlideDB for Apps

ID SOFTWARE

Realm 667 Even though the front page focuses on the best new projects to hit the community, it is also home to the repository of resources for editing doom mods, including a massive bestiary

ZDoom.org Wiki A great resource for all things related to the Zdoom source port, editing ACS Scripting, Lumps, and of course zdoom.org is where you get the source port. The Zdoom source port is now available for the Raspberry Pi!

WadsInProgress Good spot to find wads/mods that aren't even released yet, and form a cult following of a fanbase for their authors
