Program Content

Programs are designed to give participants:

  • A sense of self-worth
  • Improved communication and social skills
  • Improved relationships between young people and responsible parent guardians, with a spoecail emphasis placed on nurturing young males.

Program themes have included manual arts, outdoor education, bicycle maintenance and worskshop skills, bushcraft, lifeskills, landcare plus exercise and fitness.

School based programs operate during school hours. Leisure and recreation programs operate after school or during early evening.

Referrals for these programs must come via the school pastoral care team.

These community based education programs provide valuable assistance to young people, as they make the transitional leap between primary and lower secondary education. The programs offer a support network to families and promote links between young people, their families and the wider community.
