Montie Everett Lester, son of John Dow and Parthenia Arbelia (Scaggs) Lester, and Bertie G. Richardson, daughter of David L. and Nancy Richardson, were married September 7, 1912.  They had two children, Ruby Lake Lester and Luther Evans (Buster) Lester.  Bertie died 3 years after the marriage.  Mont then married Woodie Reed Cooper, a widow.  Woodie married a third time after Mont's death.  The double head stone was placed at the time of Mont's death, but Woodie is not buried with him.  She was buried in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, Va..
