| Octave was the daughter of Leftwich Lester and Christine Bishop. She was the twin sister of Sarah Milinda Lester. They were the ninth and tenth children. She was the first wife of Hulen B. Lester who was the son of John Floyd Lester and Susan Chaffin, who are buried in this cemetery. Hulen B. Lester is buried in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, Va. Hulen married 2) Nanzella Duncan on Oct 16, 1884. Most records have the spelling as Octavia. | Ottis was the son of Hulen B. Lester and Octave Lester. He went West to Iowa with Abe Lester, his uncle, and was killed in a threshing machine accident. Isn't it odd that he was brought back to this cemetery for burial? |
